𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪 | 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗦' 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗢 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯

The Department of Education - Region XI in coordination with DepEd Davao del Sur and Provincial Government Office of Davao del Sur conducts the Learners' Convergence Davao 2023 in Hotel de Crisbelle Crown Center, Digos City, Davao del Sur.

The is a 2-day activity which aims to gather selected learners from different schools across Region XI to establish linkages and connections among learners and teacher-advisers.

𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗦' 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 - 𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗢𝗡?

The Provincial Government of Davao del Sur through the Department of Education - Division of Davao del Sur and Department of Education - Region XI, will be hosting the 2023 Learners' Convergence Davao Region on July 19 - 20, 2023 at Hotel de Crisbelle Crown Center, Digos City, Davao del Sur.

The event will be participated by selected learners and teacher-advisers from different schools within Davao Region of 200 pax.

The 2023 Learners’ Convergence Davao Region aims to:
• provide participants from across Davao Region public schools with a face-to-face avenue to dialogue, share, and collaborate ideas, insights, lessons learned, and best practices in youth involvement in public and civic affairs;
• collaborate and build a strong network across different sectors to deliver real, responsive, and impactful change;
• offer meaningful opportunities for the youth to learn about their role in nation building, and provide a safe space where they can build a network of like-minded individuals; and
• conduct the elections of the Regional Federated Officers and Advisers of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government and Supreme Elementary Learner Government.

The event is financially supported by the Province of Davao del Sur allocated from the Special Education Fund.

2023 Regional Learners' Convergence

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦' 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯

The Department of Education through the Bureau of Learners Support Services - Youth Formation Division (YFD) conducted this year's Youth Formators Convergence at Bacolod City, Negros Occidental from May 22 - 25, 2023.

Participated by over 200 delegates from Visayas-Mindanao Cluster, Region XI sent 20 participants with the supervision of Dr. Warlito E. Hua, Chief of the Education Support Services Division.

The event aimed to gather Youth Formation Coordinators (YFCs) and enhance their skills as Youth Formators in conducting learner-centered activities in their field operations. Futher, the YFD highlighted the roadmap of the Central Office in their target in improving its services for the learners and YFCs, starting with renaming the office to Learner Formation Division (LFD).

The DepEd Region Office XI through the YFCs, bagged the title as Champion during the Youth Formators Got Talent as part of the objectives of the event to strengthen the camaraderie of YFCs from different regions, where the YFCs of RXI showcased the diversed culture of Davao Region through a dance presentation.

Davao del Sur's YFC, the president of Pambansang Samahan ng Tagapaghubog ng Pilipinas (PSTP) - YFC's DepEd Recognized Employees Organization, Neil John T. Audan, highlighted the accomplishments and achievements of the organization for the last three years, thanking all YFCs on their services provided for the learners' hoslistic development.

The YFD, now LFD, targets to conduct this activity every year to be more fluent in hearinng feedbacks from the field operators to target and achieve its thrusts, to empower Filipino children and youth imbued with the values, maka-Diyos, maka-Tao, maka-Kalikasan, and maka-Bansa.
