Generoso Elementary School Affirms Readiness Through Regional Monitoring and Technical Assistance for NAT Preparation

July 7, 2026 | Generoso Elementary School, Talomo East District

Generoso Elementary School successfully underwent the Regional Monitoring and Provision of Technical Assistance in preparation for the upcoming National Achievement Test (NAT), reaffirming the school's unwavering commitment to delivering quality, inclusive, and learner-centered basic education.

The monitoring team was led by Dr. Aida Placencia and Dr. Maria Liza L. Berandoy, Regional Education Program Supervisors, together with the newly designated Talomo East Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Rosalinda Cabig. Their visit aimed to assess the school's level of preparedness while providing technical guidance to further strengthen instructional delivery and school management practices.

The activity focused on key educational priorities, particularly the school's readiness for the National Achievement Test (NAT) and Early Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Assessment (ELLNA). It also examined the implementation of the Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment (CRLA), Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA), and the alignment of school initiatives with the Three-Term School Calendar.

A major highlight of the monitoring was the validation of the school's NAT Preparation Program, where school leaders and teachers presented strategic interventions designed to address identified learning gaps. Among these initiatives were the development and utilization of competency-based NAT reviewers, structured review sessions, data-driven remediation plans, learner progress monitoring, and targeted instructional interventions anchored on assessment results. These initiatives reflect the school's proactive efforts to ensure that every learner is adequately prepared for the national assessment.

A comprehensive validation was conducted using the Unified Monitoring Tool, which examined the school's implementation across essential areas of school operations, including curriculum implementation, the Instructional Supervisory Plan (ISP), learning environment, learning modalities delivery, and learning resource management. The monitoring team found all indicators to be evident, reflecting Generoso Elementary School's strong adherence to DepEd standards and its consistent commitment to effective school governance, sound instructional leadership, and the delivery of quality learning experiences. The positive results underscored the collective dedication of the school community in sustaining a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement for the benefit of every learner.

During the closed-door conference and constructive dialogue with the school management team, the regional monitors acknowledged the school's best practices while offering valuable recommendations and technical assistance to further enhance existing programs. The discussion fostered professional collaboration and emphasized continuous improvement anchored on evidence-based practices.

In their final remarks, the monitoring team affirmed that Generoso Elementary School is ready across all indicators stipulated in the Unified Monitoring Tool, signifying the school's strong organizational capacity and preparedness for the successful conduct of the National Achievement Test and other priority assessment programs.

The recommendations and technical assistance provided during the monitoring will serve as valuable inputs in strengthening the school's ongoing initiatives toward higher levels of educational performance and learner achievement.

With the steadfast guidance of Dr. June Elias V. Patalinghug, Principal I, whose visionary leadership continues to inspire innovation, accountability, and excellence, LAYAG Generoso remains firmly committed to navigating greater heights in its pursuit of quality basic education. Anchored on collaboration, instructional excellence, and a shared commitment to every learner's success, the school continues to sail forward with confidence—empowering learners today while building a brighter future for tomorrow.
