𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟏 | 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋-𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Paradise Embac National High School successfully conducted its School-Based In-Service Training for Teachers on September 10, 2026, at the school’s Administrative Office, anchored on the theme “GROWING TOGETHER: Empowering Teachers, Strengthening Practices, and Transforming Learning.” The activity provided teachers with meaningful opportunities to enhance their professional knowledge, reflect on their practices, and develop approaches that respond to the diverse needs of learners.

The training featured three meaningful sessions facilitated by Ma’am Vanissa E. Magpusao, Ma’am Cecelia Tamayo, and Sir Ronielo Magpusao. The discussions focused on understanding learners through inclusive and responsive teaching practices, developing quality questions and assessment tasks, and analyzing learning gaps to create appropriate intervention strategies. These sessions helped teachers recognize the importance of understanding learners, using assessment results effectively, and providing timely support to address learning needs.

Beyond gaining new knowledge and strategies, the training encouraged teachers to work together, share experiences, and learn from one another. The collaborative discussions and workshop strengthened the teachers’ commitment to continuously improve their classroom practices and create more meaningful and supportive learning experiences for every learner.

The School-Based In-Service Training served as a valuable opportunity for professional growth and reflection. It reinforced the idea that when teachers learn from one another, strengthen their practices, and work toward common goals, they become better equipped to support their learners.

𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞: 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞

With determination, Baby Jean Embac, Welce Mariz Corea, Aileen Hortel, and Quennziebel Resaba took on the Secondary Girls 4x100-meter relay at the Unit II Athletic Meet on September 8, 2026, at Pablo Lorenzo National High School. The four athletes stepped onto the track ready to give their best and represent their team with pride.

Throughout the race, they demonstrate strong coordination and teamwork, maintaining their focus despite the pressure of competition. Every stride and handoff played an important role as they worked together to stay competitive and ultimately secure a second place finish.

For Embac, the presence and support of her teammates helped ease her nerves and gave her confidence during the race. “Throughout the game, wala ko naka feel og kakulba kay kabalo ko nga naa sila. Parehas sa ilaha, naa pud koy salig sa ilaha,” she shared, highlighting the trust they had built as a team.

Their achievement proved that success in a relay is not measured by individual speed alone, but by how well athletes trust, support, and work with one another. With every handoff and every stride, Embac, Corea, Hortel, and Resaba showed that running together can turn determination into a strong finish.

Banusong Overcomes Nerves, Reaches 400m Final

Princess Marie Banusong stepped onto the track with determination as she competed in the 400-meter dash during the Unit II Athletic Meet on September 8, 2026, at Pablo Lorenzo National High School. Despite feeling nervous before the race, she remained focused on giving her best and securing a spot in the final round.

The pressure of the competition made Banusong feel anxious, but her determination pushed her forward. She successfully advanced to the final, turning her initial nervousness into excitement and giving her another opportunity to showcase her speed and endurance on the track.

“Nakulbaan gyud ko pero nalipay ko tungod kay nadala ko sa final. Pag-abot sa final, wala nako naguol or makulbaan tungod sa ka-happy nako nga nadala ko sa final,” Banusong shared, expressing how reaching the final helped her overcome the nerves she felt at the beginning of the competition.

Although Banusong did not win in the final round, reaching the final was already a meaningful achievement. Her experience showed how confidence can grow when athletes push through their fears and embrace the moment. By overcoming her nervousness and competing until the final, Banusong gained valuable experience that she can carry into future competitions.

𝐔𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐛 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫, 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥

Leo Jan Uyanib of Paradise Embac National High School secured second place in the Boys’ High Jump competition after clearing 165 centimeters at Pablo Lorenzo National High School on September 8, 2026.

Only four athletes remained in contention at the 165-centimeter mark, including Uyanib and three opponents. One of his remaining opponents surpassed him to claim first place, leaving Uyanib with the silver medal. Uyanib delivered a clean performance throughout the competition, recording no fouls from 120 centimeters to 165 centimeters.

“Nagpasalamat ko sa Ginoo ug sa akong coach. Bisan pa man nga wala kaayo koy tarong nga training tungod sa ka-busy sa acads, gibuhat nako akong best, ug didto ra jud ko taman,” Leo Jan Uyanib said.

Uyanib’s silver-medal finish reflects his consistency, composure, and determination despite limited preparation.

𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐀 𝐒𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝟐𝐍𝐃, 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋

Welce Corea competed in the 200-meter dash at Pablo Lorenzo National High School on September 8, 2026, showcasing determination and speed against her fellow competitors.

Corea took the lead early in the race but was overtaken by one of her opponents near the finish line, securing second place in the first elimination round. However, her time was not enough to advance to the final elimination. Despite missing the finals, Corea remained grateful for the opportunity and took pride in her performance.

"Bisan pa og napildi ko, pasalamat gihapon ko sa Ginoo kay naka-second place ko sa first elimination. Bisag dili ko madala mobawi ra ko next year." - said Welce Corea

Her performance proved that a race is not measured solely by reaching the finals, but also by the courage to compete, learn, and keep moving forward.
