[𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪]

Graduating students and alumni are actively engaging in the USeP Career Fair 2026, at the University Gymnasium and Cultural Center, USeP Obrero Campus, today, April 24, 2026.
With more than 50 companies from various industries in attendance, a broad range of employment opportunities is open to jobseekers. Government agencies are also present, including the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Davao City, Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund). These agencies are providing on-site assistance and essential services to applicants.
The Career Fair is organized by the University, through the USeP Career and Alumni Center(CAC) in collaboration with DOLE and PESO.
With the support of the University’s top management, colleges, offices, alumni federation, partner agencies, and participating companies, the event continues to bring together USeP students, graduates, and potential employers across diverse fields.

In celebration of National Literature Month, the Master of Arts in Literature (MALit) program proudly presents 𝓜𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓪𝓢𝓹𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓼: 𝓛𝓲𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓻𝔂 𝓥𝓸𝓲𝓬𝓮𝓼 𝓯𝓻𝓸𝓶 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓢𝓸𝓾𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓷 𝓟𝓱𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓹𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓮𝓼—a vibrant gathering of Mindanaon voices united in shared culture, identity, and the meaning of home.

With the theme “Bekët Panitikan: Para sa Katwiran at Kalikasan,” this year’s observance draws from the indigenous concept of bekët, a term from the Agutaynën people of Palawan that signifies unity and collective strength. The celebration highlights the power of literature to bring communities together, weaving shared narratives that shape the nation’s imagination, memory, and intellectual growth.

Anchored on the call for pagkakaisa, the subtheme emphasizes the role of literature in advancing both katwiran and kalikasan. It echoes the enduring ideals championed by Filipino writers and thinkers, while encouraging greater awareness of our responsibility to protect the environment as part of our collective future.

As the celebration continues to gain momentum since the issuance of Proclamation No. 968 in 2015, it renews the call to value and enrich Philippine literature: an enduring reflection of our identity as a diverse yet interconnected archipelago of languages and stories.
May this year’s National Literature Month inspire the University community to read, write, and engage more deeply with the literary traditions that bind us together as one people, while contributing to a culture that values both reason and responsibility toward our shared environment.

In the vast, unexplored landscapes of the Philippines in Negros Island, Negros Occidental Province, a new discovery emerges. This is a reminder that nature holds countless secrets waiting to be uncovered. One such remarkable contribution to the body of knowledge is the discovery of 𝑵𝒆𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒐𝒛𝒊𝒂 𝐬𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒊, a plant species identified through the dedicated efforts of the team of bryologist 𝑴𝒓. 𝑫𝒂𝒓𝒚𝒍 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒔.

The journey toward discovering the liverwort species 𝙉𝙚𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙤𝙯𝙞𝙖 𝐬𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙞 𝙐. 𝙎𝘾𝙃𝙒𝘼𝙍𝙕, 𝙎𝘾𝙃Ä𝙁.-𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙒. & 𝙎𝙃𝙀𝙑𝙊𝘾𝙆 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘. 𝙣𝙤𝙫.reflects not only scientific curiosity but also a deep commitment to environmental care and preservation. Driven by a passion for biodiversity and ecological research, he ventured onto the ridge trail well above the village of Naubok, reaching the summit slopes of Hapon-Haponan and Mt. Talinis.

This discovery stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of scientific exploration. A reminder that, beyond the age of technological advancement, Life and Biodiversity matter in creating a greener world for everyone. ��
