San Pedro College continues to soar as a leader in Respiratory Therapy education, securing its place as the Top 3 performing school in the February 2026 Licensure Examination for Respiratory Therapists (LERT), with three outstanding topnotchers: Top 3- Mr. Lance Eissel C. Cruz, RTRP, Top 8- Ms. Ricalene Joy O. Delgado, RTRP, and Top 10- Ms. Gemelie Leahnyne E. Romero, RTRP
This achievement was initially celebrated during the National Oath-taking and Awarding Ceremony on March 15, 2026, held at PICC Manila, attended by two (2) RT faculty, Prof. Lloyd Deocades, RTRP and Prof. Livan Hernandez, RTRP. It was also celebrated during the local oath-taking and awarding ceremony held on March 28, 2026, at Soto Grande Hotel, Davao City, graced by Hon. Julita V. Toledo, RTRP, MPA, the PRB Chairperson of Respiratory Therapy.
The plaque of recognition was proudly received by the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) Dean, Dr. Fatima May R. Tesoro, and Associate Dean of the SAHS-Respiratory Therapy, Marie Glen G. Geronan, RN, MN, RTRP, reflecting the institutionβs unwavering commitment to excellence. Inspiring messages from distinguished speakers, including a previous topnotcher, Ms. Ionna Gabriel A. Servinio, RTRP, Top 4 in the 2024 LERT, and this yearβs Top 3, Mr. Lance Eissel C. Cruz, RTRP, highlighted the perseverance and dedication behind every success.
More than a celebration, the event stands as a testament to the passion of SPCβs mentors and the relentless spirit of its studentsβcontinuing a tradition of producing competent, compassionate RT professionals truly worthy of being called βBreathers of Life.β
