With hearts renewed and spirits uplifted, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who journeyed with us during the 3-Day Sacred Paschal Triduum Recollection. These sacred days were made meaningful not only by reflection and prayer, but by the collective effort of a community united in faith.

Our sincerest thanks to our facilitators—Fr. Manuel J. Montesclaros, SJ; Fr. Arthur W. Nebrao, SJ; and Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ—for guiding us with wisdom, compassion, and grace. Your presence helped us encounter Christ more deeply in His Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄, 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓: 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐉𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐒, 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐉𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐒 | On April 4, 2026, the Ateneo de Davao University community gathered at the Our Lady of the Assumption Chapel for the third day of the Paschal Triduum recollection, in observance of Holy Saturday.

Guided by University President Fr. Karel San Juan, SJ, we paused in the tomb's silence, contemplating the mystery of suffering—remembering how Jesus loved us to His death, what He did for love, and His assurance of constant love. We learned to unite our personal crosses with Christ's, transforming pain into redemptive hope through Spirit-filled reflections that leave us trusting in God alone, our source of joy amid life's crises.

Confession was also made available, offering a path toward renewal and grace.

𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄, 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓: 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐉𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐒, 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐉𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐒 | On April 3, 2026, the Ateneo de Davao University community gathered at the Our Lady of the Assumption Chapel for the second day of the Paschal Triduum recollection, in observance of Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion.

Fr. Errol reflected on standing before the Cross in a broken world, embracing Jesus' forgiving love like His gaze on Peter, and finding life and light in suffering through contemplation of the Crucified Lord and Mary at the foot of the Cross.

Confession was also made available, offering a path toward renewal and grace.

As the recollection concluded, fruitful reflection points on love, forgiveness, and light in suffering drew the community closer to faith through a shared proclamation and prayer.

The morning unfolded in a rhythm of prayer, reflection, and listening. Guided by Fr. Manuel J. Montesclaros, SJ, participants were led through moments of spiritual input, prayerful reflection and journaling, and small-group spiritual conversations that invited deeper encounter and discernment —to know Jesus more intimately, love Him more deeply, and follow Him more faithfully.

Confession was also made available, offering a path toward renewal and grace.

As the recollection drew to a close, a shared proclamation and concluding prayer gathered the reflections of the morning into one offering that is sincere, profound, and rooted in faith.

ADVISORY

Pursuant to the declaration of the City Government of Davao suspending classes due to continuous heavy rainfall brought about by the shearline, classes and work at all levels in Ateneo de Davao University are hereby suspended today, 20 February 2026, effective immediately.

This suspension includes Related Learning Experience (RLE) for Nursing, On-the-Job Training (OJT), practicums, internships, and other off-campus academic requirements.

Offices providing essential and critical services may implement appropriate alternative work arrangements, subject to the direction of their respective heads.

All members of the University community are advised to monitor official announcements and exercise necessary precautions.
