Last March 2026, in celebration of Araw ng Davao, the UIC Tourism students, together with Tourism Faculty 𝑴𝒔. 𝑫𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒏 and 𝑴𝒔. 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒛, participated in a cultural walking tour aimed at fostering a deeper appreciation of the city’s rich history, diverse traditions, and cultural identity.

The activity provided an opportunity for students to engage in experiential learning by exploring significant heritage sites, gaining valuable insights into the past, and recognizing the importance of preserving cultural heritage for future generations.

This meaningful experience further enhanced their competencies as aspiring tourism professionals while strengthening their sense of pride as Davaoeños. Indeed, culture is reflected in every journey we take.
