[𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗] USeP receives ₱2.5-Million scholarship grant from Nestlé Philippines

Through the NESCAFÉ Kape’t Bisig sa Pagbangon Educational Assistance Program, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) a now recipient of a ₱2.5-million scholarship grant from Nestlé Philippines, Inc. formally awarded during a ceremony held last October 23, 2025, at Ayala Malls, Makati City.

Representing the University during the event were Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr., University President; Dr. Jose Alther M. Rivera, Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS); and Mr. Romeo V. Benito III, a 4th Year Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness student from the College of Development Management Mintal Campus who was identified as one of qualified grantees. He was accompanied by his father, Mr. Romeo Benito Jr., a coffee farmer from Sitio Lipadas, Manuel Guianga, Tugbok District, Davao City.

The Kape’t Bisig sa Pagbangon Educational Assistance Program is part of Nestlé Philippines’ continuing commitment to uplift and empower coffee-farming communities by providing educational support to the children of coffee farmers and farm workers across the country.

The partnership entrusts USeP to facilitate the said scholarship program aimed at assisting children of coffee farmers particularly those pursuing bachelor’s degrees related to Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, and other allied fields. The grant will cover tuition and provide educational assistance to eligible student-beneficiaries from coffee-producing areas.

Application and facilitation of the release of grants shall be channeled through the Scholarship Unit of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) who likewise submits reports to the Kape’t Bisig sa Pagbangon Educational Program coordinator.

The said post contains an announcement enumerating the full names and academic programs of students purportedly identified as CHED-TDP-TES Scholars, with a directive for these students to report promptly to the Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAS).

We clarify that the information disclosed in the aforementioned post was not intended for public dissemination. Originally, this information was shared exclusively within the CHED-TDP-TES Scholars Closed Group, accessible solely to its members. The said information has been subsequently published through the Letters to Yano platform, without any official authorization from either the OSAS or the University.

In this regard, the University reminds all members of its community that official information, announcements, and data shared through internal communication channels are covered by existing data privacy and confidentiality policies. Such information shall not be reproduced, redistributed, or made publicly available without the explicit consent or authorization of the concerned office or competent University authority.

The University further emphasizes that only communications transmitted through duly recognized and official University platforms shall be deemed legitimate. 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮. After three (3) to seven (7) days from the date of filing the application, log in again to check your application status. If qualified, download and print your Permit to Take the Test.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯. Report to the assigned testing center during the scheduled date and time of the examination. Present the hardcopy of the Permit to Take the Test to the room examiner.

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀:
✅ The applicants must take note of the REGISTRATION CODE assigned to them by the system upon access. They shall use the said code to log in again later to view the individual results of their applications.
✅ Applicants for admission to the undergraduate programs are advised to constantly monitor the official USeP Website and Official page for the announcement of the release of the individual results of the application.
✅ Applicants must clearly identify themselves whether they are SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL OR TRANSFEREES upon filling out the online application form. Any misrepresentation in the application shall be a ground for automatic denial of the admission application to the undergraduate program.

[𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗] USeP joins CHEd-DHEI MoA signing for SIKAP 2025 in Davao Region

The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) joined higher education institutions (HEIs) from across the Davao Region in signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the Staff and Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP) for FY 2025.

The ceremony, held at the CHED Regional Office XI Function Hall, formalized the partnership between CHED and the Delivering Higher Education Institutions (DHEIs) to provide quality scholarships and professional development opportunities for educators.

CHED Regional Director Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, along with other CHED officials graced the event. USeP President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr. joined fellow presidents, vice presidents, and university officials from participating institutions, which include Davao del Norte State College, Cor Jesu College, Ateneo de Davao University, University of Mindanao, University of the Immaculate Conception and Davao Oriental State University.

SIKAP is a flagship CHED program designed to support faculty and staff in pursuing advanced degrees and specialized training, aiming to elevate academic standards and enhance institutional capacities.

The signing reaffirms the shared commitment of CHED and DHEIs in the Davao Region to strengthen higher education through sustained investment in faculty advancement.
