On March 3, 2024, let's honor World Wildlife Day with a conservation-focused mindset and a heart full of thankfulness! ๐
This is to celebrate and raise awareness of the world's wild fauna and flora. The date is the day of the adoption of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in 1973, which plays an important role in ensuring that international trade does not threaten the species' survival.
The celebration was successfully launched with a mangrove planting campaign led by the Barangay Council of Astorga, in collaboration with Ecological Conservation and Humanitarian Organization Inc. and the DENR๐ฟ
We are grateful that the committed student volunteers from Federico Yap National High School's various organizationsโYES-O, BSP&GSP, School Responders, BKD, and SSLGโhave joined in this admirable endeavor.
Let us unite to preserve and safeguard our priceless flora and fauna for future generation.
