Unshaken Learning: Datu Ambis Diarog Integrated School’s Blended Learning Shines After the Quake
When a powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck Davao del Norte on the 15th of October, 2025, Davao City's Department of Education announced that schools, including Datu Ambis Diarog Integrated School, had to suspend face-to-face classes to ensure everyone's safety. But instead of letting the disaster halt learning, the school community showed that nothing can shake their dedication to education.
Through the Department of Education’s Blended Learning Program, teachers and students quickly navigated to a new setup. Multiple teachers courageously traveled on rough and uneasy roads just to deliver printed worksheets and activities to their students’ parents. Meanwhile, other teachers turned to Google Meet to continue their lessons online. Despite weak internet signals and limited connections, many students still joined the classes—sometimes even sitting together with classmates who had mobile phones and internet access so they wouldn’t be left behind. Their teamwork, compassion to others and eagerness to learn would inspire anybody who could witness them.
Parents also played a big role in keeping the flow of learing smoothly. Through their close coordination with teachers, they helped guide their children at home and made sure learning continued safely and effectively.
After a week of perseverance and adjustments, Datu Ambis Diarog Integrated School is finally resuming face-to-face learning on Monday, October 20, 2025. Students and teachers are more than ready to return—not just to their rooms and desks, but to a renewed sense of unity and purpose!

Students expressed their heartfelt appreciation through touching homages and lively dance performances, setting the tone for a day dedicated to honoring the dedication and hard work of their beloved mentors.

To cap it off, the awarding of witty and endearing titles—such as Classroom Ninja and Smile Magnet—sparked cheers and applause throughout the crowd.
Behind the joyful celebration is the shared message of gratitude. Spearheaded by the school principal, Sir Ariel Niño D. Aton, the event recognized the teachers’ unwavering commitment, patience, and passion in nurturing the learners of DADIS.
