The spirit of truthful and impactful journalism blossomed vibrantly at the General Roxas North District Campus Journalism Training-Workshop and Press Conference, held at Lower Tamugan Elementary School on August 30-31 and September 13, 2025. With the theme "Voices Unleashed: Empowering Learners in Truthful and Impactful Journalism," the event brought together young minds eager to hone their skills and tell stories that matter.

Among the proud participants was Pagan Grande Elementary School, represented with distinction by four remarkable learners under the guidance of School Paper Advisers Mariel Q. Amaya for English and Arlene Q. Reloba for Filipino. These budding journalists โ€” Grade 4 learners Corine Z. Babuyo, Robi Amor P. Zulueta, Jay-Ara C. Saldo, and Grade 6 learner Elaizza Kate Q. Pinkian โ€” embraced every challenge and opportunity the workshop presented.

The first day set a promising tone: Jay-Araโ€™s feature article in English was hailed first place, while Elaizza's news writing took a commendable third. In photojournalism, Corine captured third place with her keen eye behind the camera. The girlsโ€™ talents shone through individualized training, fueling their passion and confidence.

Day two saw continued dedication and excellence. Elaizza clinched third place in the Science and Technology Feature Article category, demonstrating her knack for blending curiosity and clarity. Corine excelled as well, winning second place in Copy Reading and Headline Writing, showcasing her sharp editorial skills.

On the final day, teamwork took center stage. The girls collaborated on a Mobile Journalism project, earning first place in Graphics and a spot among the top three in the TECH App category. Their cohesive effort not only brought accolades but also highlighted their ability to innovate and adapt using modern journalism tools.

The achievements of Pagan Grande Elementaryโ€™s young journalists are a testament to their hard work, the guidance of their advisers, and the supportive spirit of their school community. Their journey through the 2025 Campus Journalism Training-Workshop was not just about winning awards but about unleashing their voices to inspire, inform, and make a difference.

With pride echoing throughout the halls of Pagan Grande ES, these learners truly embody the future of journalism โ€” empowered, insightful, and ready to tell the stories that shape tomorrow.

Pagan Grande Elementary School proudly celebrates National Women's Month 2025 with the theme, โ€œBabae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.โ€ This month-long event, held from February 28 to March 31, 2025, aims to honor the significant contributions of women in various sectors and promote gender equality in building a progressive nation.

The celebration began on February 28, 2025, with teachers and students wearing purple shirts, symbolizing justice, dignity, and women's empowerment. The highlight of the day was the inspiring message from our beloved School Principal 1, Maโ€™am Agustina M. Tambala, who emphasized the importance of recognizing women's strength, leadership, and dedication in shaping a better future. She encouraged students to respect and support women in all aspects of life and reminded everyone that equality is the foundation of a strong and united nation.

Pagan Grande Elementary School remains committed to promoting inclusivity and empowering young minds to embrace the values of respect, fairness, and equality for all.

With this celebration, the school hopes to inspire future generations to contribute to a Bagong Pilipinas where every woman has the opportunity to rise and thrive in all sectors.
