RMC CAMPUS NEWS| April 21, 2026
DAVAO CITYโ The final countdown to professional licensure officially began this morning as 71 student interns from the College of Teacher Education (CTE) gathered to take their Official Mock Board Exam.
The testing centers are quiet and orderly as the 71 candidatesโwho recently completed their teaching practicum across various local campusesโtook their seats for the day-long assessment.
This mock exam is designed to mirror the exact conditions of the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), providing a high-stakes environment to test their readiness.
These 71 students have spent the last several weeks immersed in a "daily rigid review" and competency appraisal courses. Todayโs exam covers the primary pillars of the teaching board:
General Education
Professional Education
Majorship/Specialization
This cohort of 71 represents the next wave of educators preparing to enter the workforce. Having successfully navigated their classroom assignments at various local high schools and elementary sites earlier this month, the mock board serves as the final academic hurdle in their journey.
The results of todayโs exam will be used to provide personalized feedback, helping each student identify specific areas for improvement in the weeks leading up to the official board dates.
The exams are expected to conclude by late afternoon, followed by a rationalization phase where students will review their performance with subject matter experts.
Congratulations to our 71 CTE interns for reaching this milestone. Your hard work in the field and in the classroom is about to pay off!

This intensive review phase serves as the critical preparation for the upcoming Mock Board Examination 2026, scheduled for Tuesday, April 21.
To ensure the 71 interns are well-equipped for the complexities of the board exams, a dedicated team of faculty members has been leading the daily majorship drills. The review sessions feature the expertise of:

Prof. Dexter Coraje (Mathematics)
Prof. Christine Basillote (Special Needs Education)
Prof. Lita Cadungog (Filipino)
Prof. Daina Trazona (General Education)

As the culminating output for the Competency Appraisal course, the Mock Board Exam carries significant weight. The college has clarified the academic implications for this yearโs batch.
In a departure from some traditional practices, there will be no revalida (re-examination) for those who do not meet the passing mark in the Mock Board Exam.
