ʟɪɢʜᴛꜱ, ᴄᴀᴍᴇʀᴀ, ᴀᴄᴛɪᴏɴ!

3rd Year BA Communication students, under the course COMM161 (Speech for RTV and Emerging Media), released this year’s podcast of Re:Lay Productions.

The podcast, entitled “The Couch,” focuses on the topic of polarization, what it is, and how we can identify them in our daily lives. Participants from our own BA Communication program joined the podcast to discuss their own views on polarization, giving thoughtful and diverse insights throughout the discussion.

This podcast, alongside other outputs under Re:Lay Productions, serves as a way for students to apply their communication, collaboration, and creative skills, as well as a means to discuss topics and concepts that are important for society.

Led by 3rd Year BA Communication students under the course COMM112 (Risk, Disaster, and Humanitarian Communication), this initiative continues to promote disaster preparedness and fire safety, with the aim of empowering community leaders and disaster responders.

As part of the initiative, the students conducted a fire safety seminar last June 20, 2026 at Barangay 5-A Bankerohan, presenting a Fire Hydrant Map detailing the location of all functional fire hydrants, as well as an insightful talk on fire safety facilitated by FO1 Rhaya Michael Datu Ramos and FO2 Charlene Mae Jimenez of the Bureau of Fire Protection C.B. Bangoy Sr. Fire Station.

This student-led initiative was conducted in partnership with Barangay 5-A Captain Gilbert Mata Sr., Barangay 5-A Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and COMM112 Facilitator, Prof. Marie Gabrielle Ba-ang.
