This builds on the Universityโ€™s earlier achievement of an unqualified audit opinion for its 2025 financial statements, reflecting sustained compliance with government accounting and auditing rules and regulations. The recognition affirms that USePโ€™s financial condition, position, and operations are accurately and transparently reported, demonstrating accountability and sound fiscal management.

The audit, conducted in accordance with the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAIs), serves as a key mechanism to ensure transparency, fiscal responsibility, and good governance among state universities and colleges.

This milestone reflects the continued efforts of the Universityโ€™s management and accounting teams to strengthen internal controls and uphold responsible stewardship of public resources.

The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Office, proudly recognizes outstanding women personnel across academic units and delivery units who exemplify transformative leadership in their respective areas. These women have been nominated as modern-day Babaylans, leaders whose wisdom, courage, and commitment across academic units USeP honors modern-day Babaylans: women personnel inspiring change and empowering communities.

Like the Babaylans of the pre-colonial era who served as leaders, healers, and catalysts for social cohesion, these women demonstrate leadership rooted in compassion, integrity, and empowerment. Their contributions to the success of their colleges, offices, and the University as a whole have been felt and witnessed by their peers, making them deserving of this meaningful recognition.

This initiative aims to revitalize and celebrate the enduring attributes of the Babaylan, strength, inclusivity, resilience, and service to the community. These women have been honored by USeP Community in order to reaffirm its commitment to promoting gender-responsive leadership and creating spaces where womenโ€™s voices, expertise, and initiatives are recognized and supported.

Once again, the University extends its sincere appreciation and full support to these women personnel for their leadership initiatives and invaluable contributions within their respective contexts. Their stories inspire others to lead with purpose and to continue building a more inclusive and empowered academic community.

Happy Womenโ€™s Day!
