On this commemorative anniversary of the People Power Revolution, we honor the enduring spirit of democracy, the very heartbeat of our nation and the priceless freedom our people struggled to protect. Today, February 25, we mark the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, a historic moment that revealed the extraordinary strength and unity of the Filipino people. It was a powerful reminder that when citizens stand together with courage and conviction, meaningful change becomes possible.
Democracy is more than a political system; it is our right to speak freely, to choose our leaders, and to actively shape the future of our country. It lives on in every Filipino who stands for justice, upholds the rights of others, and acts with integrity. As we reflect on this milestone, may we remember that democracy flourishes only when we nurture, protect, and take responsibility for it. May this anniversary inspire us to safeguard its legacy and ensure that its light continues to guide generations to come.
