Where Love Rules and Hearts Reign: A Valentine’s Celebration for a Cause
Late afternoon of February 13, 2026, Banarao Elementary School, Tugbok East District, Davao City celebrated King and Queen of Hearts 2026 with the theme “Where Love Rules and Hearts Reign.” The weather was cold, yet the school was filled with warmth, laughter, and joy that seemed to chase the chill away. Everywhere you looked, children were smiling, parents were cheering, and teachers were delightfully caught up in the excitement.
What made this celebration truly unforgettable, however, was the love and generosity of the parents. Their support went far beyond simply attending the event—they gave of their time, resources, and hearts. Each parent’s contribution, no matter how small, was a gift of love to the school and a powerful testament to their commitment to their children’s education. Through this activity, they showed that love for a school is not just in words, but in deeds, in actions that help build something bigger than ourselves.
Through this activity, the PTA funds were augmented, allowing the PTA officials to start the creation of the School Heroes Park, a space that will honor individuals who embody courage, service, and dedication. Every cheer, every smile, and every heartfelt contribution during the event became a building block for this park—a place that will inspire learners for years to come.
The King and Queen of Hearts 2026 reminded everyone that when a community comes together with love at its center, even a simple celebration can become a powerful act of generosity, hope, and lasting change. It was a day when hearts truly ruled, and love made a difference that will be remembered far beyond Valentine’s Day.

Banarao Elementary School was deeply honored to be chosen as one of the recipients of this year’s Community Outreach Program spearheaded by Dr. Argel C. Pingot, Education Program Supervisor, Division Testing and ESP–GMRC–VE Focal Person, together with his dedicated Project Management Team and Technical Working Group. This meaningful initiative reflects true leadership with a heart—isang uri ng pamumuno na hindi lamang nakatuon sa tungkulin, kundi may malasakit at malas na hangaring maglingkod.

What may seem like a simple gesture carried a profound impact on our school community. The joy and gratitude seen in the faces of our young learners clearly showed how deeply their hearts were touched. Sa ganitong mga sandali, higit na nauunawaan ng ating mga mag-aaral ang kahalagahan ng kabutihan, malasakit, at pagbabahagi—mga aral na hindi kayang ituro ng aklat lamang.

Ma’am Nancy G. Bustaleño, together with the faculty members of Banarao Elementary School, warmly welcomed Dr. Pingot and his team. Sa kabila ng kalayuan at pagiging liblib ng aming paaralan, buong puso pa ring ibinahagi ng pangkat ang kanilang oras at biyaya, patunay na ang tunay na serbisyo ay hindi napipigilan ng distansya.

Sa gitna ng masikip at abalang iskedyul, naglaan pa rin ng panahon si Dr. Pingot at ang kanyang koponan upang maghatid ng tulong at inspirasyon. Maraming salamat po sa pamumunong may puso. Ang inyong malasakit ay magsisilbing ilaw at pag-asa sa aming paaralan—isang paalala na ang kabutihan, kapag ibinahagi, ay lalong nagiging makahulugan.

Yesterday, December 5, 2025, Banarao Elementary School was grateful to welcome DepEd Dentist Dr. Ellaine Joyce Patac and District Nurse Ma’am Vivien Ultiano Abuloc for essential health services for our learners, including vision screening, health check-up, dental examination, and fluoride application. This activity helped promote proper hygiene, oral health, and overall wellness among our pupils. Thank you to the DepEd medical team for your dedication and service to our school community.

Banarao Elementary School proudly stepped onto the DSPC stage with its 2025 entry (Editorial Cartooning - English) —a meaningful milestone for our learners and community. We may not reach Round 2, but the dedication and passion shown throughout this journey already make us proud. Truly, we live our school mantra: Banarao ES—Nurturing Bright Futures.

An Adventure Our Young Scout Will Surely Remember!

The Kid Scout and Kab Scout Troop successfully participated in the annual Council Scout Kidsayahan and Kabsayahan held on November 14-16, 2025 at BSP Camp Malagos, Bagiuo District, Davao City. During the activity, the scouts took part in various events including outdoor games and team-building exercises. They remained enthusiastic and fully engaged, showing good behavior, teamwork, and a genuine eagerness to learn.

Scout leaders, teachers, and parents worked together to provide consistent supervision, ensuring the safety and smooth flow of all activities. With strong support from parents, all scouts were able to complete the event successfully.

As the scouts returned home, they carried with them new learnings, strengthened friendships, and memorable experiences that contribute to their holistic growth as young members of the scouting community.
