The CPGSHS Teen Center proudly held its Election and Orientation Day on July 10, 2025 — a meaningful event that brought together aspiring student leaders and advocates of youth empowerment. 💙

As we welcomed our newly elected Teen Center officers, we were also honored by the presence of an aspiring Teen Center facilitator, whose participation reflected the growing commitment to nurturing safe spaces and positive youth development.

This event would not be possible without the guidance and support of Ma’am Mariella J. Gaslang, our current Teen Center Adviser, who continues to lead with heart and purpose for the youth of CPGSHS — and Ma’am Anne Jasmin N. Lofranco, our former Teen Center Adviser, whose dedication laid the foundation of the Teen Center we cherish today.

‘Mabuang nata ani resh, kaon sa siguro ta’— this was the line we always said whenever we were tired and overwhelmed. It became our way of coping, our shared battle cry. But look at us now... We finally made it, Ma'am. And we couldn't have done it without you.

Our Women’s Month celebration, "𝑰𝒉𝒂, 𝑰𝒌𝒂𝒘 𝑴𝒖𝒏𝒂!" was a powerful and inspiring event that highlighted the importance of empowering and uplifting women in our community. 🙌

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible speakers:
𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚 for his inspiring talk, "𝑷𝒂𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝑨𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒆𝒏𝒈 𝑵𝒂𝒉𝒊𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒂 𝑩𝒖𝒉𝒂𝒚/𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔." He emphasized the importance of community involvement in addressing critical issues like Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC). He also highlighted various initiatives for supporting women, including livelihood programs and skills training.

𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐍𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐨 for her enlightening presentation on the 𝑽𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏 (𝑽𝑨𝑾𝑪) 𝑨𝒄𝒕. Her talk emphasized the importance of understanding and addressing violence against women and children, providing valuable information about the legal protections available. Ma’am Nerlyn left us with a powerful reminder: "𝑩𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒆 𝒌𝒂, 𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊 𝒃𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒆 𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈". This powerful statement, along with the impactful video she shared, encouraged us to take action and create a safer world for women and children.
