These activities were tailored to our child’s development and were age appropriate for her at the stage she was at. She was an early sitter due to physiotherapy we have to do for her Cystic Fibrosis. It meant she had serious core strength. Therefore please use these as ideas on how to strengthen fine motor - they are not necessarily age appropriate with your child as every child develops at a different pace ☺️ Fine motor: Whether it’s their tiny hand grasping for something for the first time, or their ability to explore the world around them with their fingers, it’s an incredibly exciting moment in your child’s development. And it’s never too early to start encouraging and strengthening these skills. Doing so has many benefits, including increased independence, foundation for writing capabilities, improved cognitive and language development, enhanced coordination and, ultimately, increased focus, self-esteem and confidence.
