Resumption of face to face class tomorrow, June 15, 2026.

ADVISORY

The City Engineer’s Office (CEO) has conducted a building inspection at Kabacan Elementary School to assess and ensure the safety of all learners, teaching personnel, and stakeholders.

The school is currently awaiting the official inspection results and recommendations from the concerned office. Further, updates regarding the status of face-to-face classes will be announced through the school’s official communication channels.

Parents, guardians, and learners are advised to stay informed and monitor official announcements for the latest updates.

Kabacan Elementary School continues the suspension of face to face classes until further notice, as the school buildings have not yet undergone the necessary inspection from OCBO - Office of the City Building Official to ensure the safety of all learners, teaching personnel, and stakeholders.

Parents, guardians, and learners are advised to regularly monitor official school communication channels for updates regarding the inspection results and the resumption of face-to-face classes.

𝐎𝐧-𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

The City Government is working closely with the DepEd Davao City Division and CHED Region XI on the ongoing structural assessment of educational facilities.

Face-to-face classes at all levels in both public and private educational institutions MAY likewise resume tomorrow, June 10, 2026, PROVIDED that their respective institutions have completed the necessary structural assessments and have been declared safe for occupancy by the appropriate authorities.

Educational institutions that have not yet completed their assessments or have not yet been cleared for occupancy shall continue to adopt online or distance learning modalities until such time that their facilities are declared safe.

DepEd and CHED Region XI, together with their respective educational institutions, shall inform learners, parents, and personnel regarding the resumption schedule of face-to-face classes.

The City remains under BLUE ALERT status. All BDRRMCs, volunteer groups, and partner agencies are hereby advised to remain on standby, pre-position the necessary equipment and supplies, and submit situational reports to the Operations Center for consolidated monitoring and coordinated action.

Any changes or update shall be announced accordingly.

✨ First Day at Kabacan ES! ✨
Learners, parents, teachers, and our dear principal Ma’am Yhummy Decena together with DepEd Davao ASDS Ma’am Josie T. Bolofer kicked off the school year with joy and excitement. 💚

At 8AM, an earthquake shook the school but thankfully, everyone was safe during the Flag Raising Ceremony. 🙏 Truly blessed!

📢 Classes are suspended at all levels by the City Government of Davao. Tomorrow, June 9, 2026, the School DRRM Team will inspect all buildings to ensure safety.

Today’s Holy Mass and Christian Fellowship brought grace and renewal, with classrooms cleansed in spirit. Teachers, parents, and learners were deeply blessed by the Word shared by Fr. Jessie Gelaga and Atty. Fe. Truly, faith and unity make our school a home of grace. 💖🌸
