In just a few hours, a new chapter begins. 🎓
To everyone who’s about to walk across that stage, this moment is more than just a ceremony. It’s the result of sleepless nights, quiet sacrifices, small wins, and the courage to keep going even when things felt impossible.
You made it! And that means something.
As you step forward today, carry with you not just your dreams, but also the strength you built along the way. The world ahead won’t always be easy, but you’ve already proven that you can rise, adapt, and keep moving forward.
Be proud of how far you’ve come, and be excited for everything that’s still waiting for you!
Congratulations, graduates! Your story is just getting started. ✨

Wear Your Values Day | Teamwork
At The University of Mindanao, we uphold our core values in everyday work. This month, green represented Teamwork, highlighting the importance of collaboration in everything we do.
The HR-led initiative encouraged all departments across UM to reflect on how teamwork strengthens effectiveness and fosters unity. Each office approached this reflection in their own way, bringing the value to life within their teams.
In LIC-IMS, our team held a discussion to share insights on how collaboration strengthens our work. Active participation reflected the trust, cooperation, and shared goals that guide our daily responsibilities.
Every role matters, and every contribution counts... together, we achieve more. 💚

Today, we celebrate the enduring power of a united people.
EDSA teaches us that when freedoms are threatened, courage must rise; when voices are silenced, conviction must speak louder. As students, may we remain vigilant, informed, and principled, choosing integrity over indifference, truth over fear, and participation over apathy.
The responsibility to guard our freedoms now rests with us.

Advancing digital innovation at the University of Mindanao!
From February 19–20, 2026, our librarians, staff, and IT personnel actively participated in the DSpace 9.0 Training held at the AVR 4, Library Building, UM Matina Campus.
This two-day capacity-building activity strengthened our technical expertise in repository management, digital preservation, and archiving, further enhancing the University’s institutional repository system.
We were honored to have Mr. Stephen B. Alayon, Associate Professor from West Visayas State University in La Paz, Iloilo City, and Mr. Elvi S. Nemiz, Senior Information Assistant from the Library and Databank of the SEAFDEC Aquaculture Department in Iloilo City, as our resource speakers. Through their valuable insights, hands-on demonstrations, and best practices in digital archiving and repository management, our team gained deeper knowledge in ensuring long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of scholarly works.
Together, we continue to strengthen our commitment to innovation, effective archiving, and excellence in scholarly communication at the University of Mindanao.
Onward, UM!
