SUBJECT : UPDATED SECURITY GUIDELINES
In light of the incident in Tacloban, Leyte (June 22, 2026), DWA shall be enforcing stricter entrance and security protocols, including bag inspections, controlled access points, and heightened monitoring by security personnel and administration. To implement these measures, please observe the following:
1. Entrance Protocols
• Manual routine bag inspections at all gates for all students, staff, and parents/visitors.
• Controlled access points: designated entry and exit gates.
• Mandatory ID presentation for students, staff, and parents/visitors.
2. Prohibited Items
• Strict ban on fi****ms, knives, brass knuckles, explosives, hazardous chemicals, and illegal substances.
• Confiscation slips issued for any prohibited items found and among others.
3. Security Personnel
• Visible presence of uniformed guards throughout the campus.
• Prefect of Discipline shall check the vicinity during class hours, breaks, and dismissal.
• Vigilance in monitoring visitor behavior and reporting suspicious activity immediately to our school authorities and endorse to police authorities.
4. Student & Classroom Safety
• Learners must remain inside their classrooms or designated safe areas during school hours.
• Attendance checks before classes, after recess, and before dismissal.
• Parents are encouraged to inspect children’s bags before leaving home.
• Students are not allowed to go out the school during school hours except for emergency.
5. Visitor & Parent Guidelines
• No outsiders allowed without proper identification and authorization.
• Visitors must sign logbooks and present valid IDs before entry.
• Parents should avoid lingering near gates and cooperate with security checks.
6. Mental Health & Psychosocial Support
• School has also strengthened guidance counseling, peer support programs, and psychological first aid.
• This DWA memorandum alongside with DepEd emphasize family and community involvement to address issues before they escalate into violence.

*OLD STUDENTS*
Wear your complete school uniform with proper grooming.
Wear your school ID, if available.
*NEW & TRASNFEREE STUDENTS*
Wear neat and modest casual attire.
Suggested: collared shirt or blouse, clean pants or skirt, and closed shoes.
Avoid overly casual clothing such as sleeveless tops, shorts, ripped jeans, or slippers.
