M. Guloman IS Resumes Face-to-Face Classes Following Earthquake Suspension
MALABOG, DAVAO CITY — M. Guloman Integrated School officially resumed face-to-face classes today as learners returned for the first day of the Instructional Block following the temporary suspension of classes caused by the recent earthquake.
The resumption was marked by a morning flag-raising ceremony graced by the Cluster 12 Principal-in-Charge, Nick B. Jamisola, who expressed gratitude to parents, teachers, and learners for their continued trust and support of the school.
The PIC, alongside the presence of the entire teaching and non-teaching personnel of the school, warmly welcomed the learners back and thanked them for choosing M. Guloman Integrated School as their home of learning for the next ten months. He expressed confidence in the school's ability to provide quality education and meaningful learning experiences that will help every learner grow and succeed.
The School Principal, Joan O. Micutuan, also commended the learners for their resilience and assured them that M. Guloman IS remains committed to nurturing their potential and helping them become the best versions of themselves.
Classes were originally opened last week, but the first day was cut short due to the earthquake, prompting the suspension of face-to-face classes while safety measures were being observed.
With classes now back in full swing, the school looks forward to a productive and successful school year ahead.

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT!
Face-to-Face Classes in our school remain SUSPENDED tomorrow, June 11, 2026.
The Office of the City Building Official (OCBO) has yet to conduct the necessary building inspection of the school. We are currently awaiting the official safety clearance to be issued by the OCBO after the inspection.
The safety and well-being of our learners, personnel, and the entire school community remain our top priority. Further updates regarding the resumption of face-to-face classes will be announced as soon as the inspection and safety assessment are completed.

Please be informed that FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES AT M. GULOMAN INTEGRATED SCHOOL REMAIN SUSPENDED TOMORROW, June 10, 2026.
The Office of the City Building Official (OCBO) has not yet completed the inspection and assessment of our school buildings. Face-to-face classes will resume only after the buildings have been declared safe and fit for occupancy. BLENDED LEARNING MODALITY will be adopted by the school tomorrow.
Please be guided accordingly.

𝐎𝐧-𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.
The City Government is working closely with the DepEd Davao City Division and CHED Region XI on the ongoing structural assessment of educational facilities.
Face-to-face classes at all levels in both public and private educational institutions MAY likewise resume tomorrow, June 10, 2026, PROVIDED that their respective institutions have completed the necessary structural assessments and have been declared safe for occupancy by the appropriate authorities.
Educational institutions that have not yet completed their assessments or have not yet been cleared for occupancy shall continue to adopt online or distance learning modalities until such time that their facilities are declared safe.
DepEd and CHED Region XI, together with their respective educational institutions, shall inform learners, parents, and personnel regarding the resumption schedule of face-to-face classes.
The City remains under BLUE ALERT status. All BDRRMCs, volunteer groups, and partner agencies are hereby advised to remain on standby, pre-position the necessary equipment and supplies, and submit situational reports to the Operations Center for consolidated monitoring and coordinated action.
Any changes or update shall be announced accordingly.

In anticipation of possible aftershocks and pending the completion of ongoing structural assessments, government offices in Davao City, including local government offices and national government agencies, shall adopt a work-from-home arrangement tomorrow, June 9, 2026, EXCEPT for offices providing safety and security, health, sanitation, traffic management, social services, and disaster and emergency response services.
The private sector is encouraged to adopt similar arrangements to ensure the welfare and safety of their employees.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL | School Year 2026–2027 ✨
Today marks the beginning of another exciting school year as our learners officially returned to school, ready to learn, grow, and create new memories together.
The day started with a meaningful Flag Ceremony, followed by an energetic exercise entitled "Celebration," where learners actively participated and enjoyed moving together to kick off the school year with positivity and enthusiasm.
Our School Principal, Ma'am Joan O. Micutuan, warmly welcomed everyone and shared an inspiring message, encouraging learners to strive for excellence, embrace challenges, and make the most of every learning opportunity. This was followed by the introduction of our dedicated teaching staff who will guide and support our learners throughout the year.
As we embark on this new journey, we look forward to a productive, meaningful, and successful school year filled with learning, friendship, and achievement.
