LAAK, DAVAO DE ORO — Personnel of the Laak Municipal Police Station, led by the Deputy Chief of Police, PCPT MELVIN M CELIS, conducted a lecture during the Anti-Bullying and Drug Awareness Symposium at Laak Institute Foundation Inc. on July 13, 2026.

The symposium aimed to educate and empower students by increasing their awareness of the harmful effects of bullying and illegal drugs. It also sought to promote discipline, responsible decision-making, mutual respect, and the importance of maintaining a safe, peaceful, and drug-free school environment.

During the activity, PCPT CELIS discussed the adverse effects of illegal drugs and reiterated the importance of making wise decision and responsible choices. He encouraged the students not to be deceived by illegal drugs, emphasizing that drug abuse can have devastating consequences on their future, education, and overall well-being.

Meanwhile, PCpl Toyogon and PCpl Camacho discussed the topics of anti-bullying and the Anti-Rape Law. They emphasized the importance of treating others with respect, exercising responsibility, and being mindful of every action, decision, and choice they make. They also encouraged the students to report incidents of bullying and abuse to school authorities or the police to ensure their safety and protection.

Laak MPS, under the leadership of PMAJ EMELITO M LLEGO, Chief of Police, reaffirmed our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of students, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff. Laak MPS will continue to strengthen its partnership with educational institutions through information and education campaigns and proactive police presence in support of a safe and conducive learning environment for all.
