A new viral infection hit the world two years ago. In a short period, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020, and a pandemic on 11 March 2020.

The pandemic caused a big challenge for the health and government practitioners who worked down from scratch, and with the limited existing data to combat the spread. The most exigent part is responding to the entire population's needs in fear and isolation. Now, how does science relate to Covid-19 responses? This is where research came into the picture.

This conference aims to promote health-related research studies in the Philippines. It also aims for local researchers to have research collaborations in providing public health decision support systems with other researchers within the Philippines and other countries. The conference will gather participants (high school students, undergraduates, graduate students, researchers, and educators) and will consist of talks about disease surveillance and diagnostics, mathematical modeling, and quantitative methods in health, health sciences, and health research among high school students.
