Tugbok Central secures 'Top Performing School' title in DSPC 2026
The ink of excellence continues to flow as Tugbok Central Elementary School SPED Center of Tugbok East District once again etched its name among Davao City's outstanding journalism institutions, securing Second Place in the Overall Top Performing Public Elementary School category during the 2026 Division Schools Press Conference (Davao City DSPC).
Amid the fierce competition of young writers, broadcasters, and storytellers across Davao City Division, Tugbok Central demonstrated its journalistic prowess during the five-day competition held on September 9–13, 2026, with the awarding ceremony taking place on September 19 at Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School in Matina, Davao City.
Behind the prestigious recognition lies a story of perseverance, a short span of hours in training, and the dedication as the school's Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) continues to nurture aspiring voices committed to truthful and responsible storytelling.
Brimming with pride in her message, Teacher Janice C. Abrea celebrated the team's accomplishment. “I am one with you in celebrating this year's achievements. Congratulations, dear Journalism Team! Keep moving forward and continue striving for excellence. I am so proud of you!” she expressed.
Echoing the celebration, School Principal Sally G. Declarador commended the campus journalists and their coaches for bringing another distinction to the institution. “Congratulations, Team SPJ! Your TCESSC family is so proud of your achievements. Thank you for always bringing honor and recognition to our school,” she said.
As another trophy finds its place in the school's growing collection of distinctions, TCESSC continues to build its legacy of excellence in campus journalism, with its promising journalists and dedicated coaches now setting their sights on the Regional Schools Press Conference in Davao City as they prepare to bring greater honor to their school and district.
