Buong puso at buong dangal na nakikiisa ang Tugbok Central Elementary School – SPED Center sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa ngayong Agosto 2026, alinsunod sa Pampanguluhang Proklamasyon Blg. 1041.

Sa temang "Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon," ating ipinagdiriwang ang mahalagang papel ng Wikang Filipino bilang wika ng pagkakakilanlan, pagkakaisa, at kaunlaran. Kasabay ng mabilis na pag-unlad ng teknolohiya at Artificial Intelligence (AI), higit nating pinagtitibay ang paggamit ng ating sariling wika bilang tulay sa makabuluhang pananaliksik, responsableng paggamit ng impormasyon, at makabagong pagkatuto.

Inaanyayahan namin ang buong komunidad ng TCES–SPED Center na aktibong makiisa sa mga inihandang gawain ngayong buwan. Sama-sama nating ipagmalaki, gamitin, at paunlarin ang ating pambansang wika bilang pamana ng ating kultura at sandigan ng ating kinabukasan.

JUST IN || Presenting the new logo of Tugbok Central Elementary School SPED Center

The new logo of Tugbok Central Elementary School SPED Center represents the school’s commitment to inclusive, quality, and future-ready education. Every part of the logo reflects the school’s vision of helping all learners learn, grow, and thrive regardless of their abilities, interests, or academic programs.

At the center of the logo is an open book, which symbolizes knowledge, learning, and lifelong education. It shows that the school is a place where every child is given the opportunity to develop academically, socially, and personally.

Rising from the book are four human figures, representing the different learning communities served by the school. These figures show unity, growth, and equal opportunity for all learners.

The four circles represent the school’s major educational programs:

SNED (Special Needs Education) – symbolizes love, care, inclusion, and support for learners with special educational needs.

Regular Education – represents strong foundational learning, literacy, and character development for all learners.

SSES (Special Science Elementary School) – reflects scientific thinking, innovation, environmental awareness, and excellence in science and mathematics.

SPJ (Special Program in Journalism) – symbolizes communication, truth, leadership, creativity, and responsible journalism.

Above the learners is the torch surrounded by a laurel wreath, which stands for wisdom, excellence, leadership, and the school’s dedication to guiding learners toward success. The torch also represents the light of education that inspires hope and progress.

The golden rays of the sun behind the torch symbolize enlightenment, opportunity, and a brighter future for every learner. They reflect the school’s role in shaping confident, capable, and responsible citizens.

The green and gold colors carry important meanings. Green represents growth, hope, harmony, and a nurturing learning environment. Gold symbolizes excellence, achievement, integrity, and the value of education.

The laurel branches on both sides of the logo signify honor, accomplishment, perseverance, and the continuous pursuit of excellence by the school community.

The circular shape of the logo represents unity, inclusivity, and continuous learning, emphasizing that education is a lifelong journey shared by learners, teachers, parents, and the community.

The school motto, “Learn • Grow • Thrive,” captures the heart of the logo. It reminds everyone that Tugbok Central Elementary School SPED Center is committed to helping every learner acquire knowledge, develop skills and values, and reach their full potential.

Finally, the year 1918 honors the school’s rich history and long-standing service to the community. It reflects more than a century of dedication to providing quality education while continuing to embrace innovation and inclusive practices.

Building tomorrow's truth-tellers

Bright colors, thoughtful speeches, and meaningful discussions filled the SPJ classroom of Tugbok Central Elementary School SPED Center as Grades 4 to 6 learners celebrated the National Campus Press Freedom Week from July 20–25, 2026.

Guided by the theme, "Voices of the Youth: Truthful, Fair, and Dedicated to the Nation (Boses ng Kabataan, Patas at Totoo para sa Bayan)," the celebration became an opportunity for learners to discover that journalism begins with honesty, responsibility, and the courage to speak the truth.

Throughout the week, learners reflected on the value of a free and responsible press through the Freedom Wall, where they shared essays, poems, and personal reflections about press freedom. Their writings showed that even young voices can inspire understanding, promote fairness, and encourage positive change.

Creativity flourished as Grade 4 learners designed posters promoting honesty, responsible journalism, patriotism, and the fight against misinformation, while aspiring editorial cartoonists expressed important social messages through their illustrations. At the same time, Grade 5 learners confidently delivered speeches on becoming truthful and fair citizens, and Grade 6 learners strengthened their critical thinking through the Press Freedom Debate, defending their ideas with facts and respectful arguments.

The celebration also challenged learners to envision themselves as future journalists through the assignment, "If I Were a Journalist." Reflecting on the experience, SPJ learner Keona Errle Capricho shared, "If I become a journalist someday, I want to write stories that inspire hope in people's hearts while keeping the public informed. Journalism is a very important profession because it shares truthful information and helps people understand what is happening in the world." Her words reflected the very purpose of the celebration—to encourage young learners to use their voices with honesty, responsibility, and compassion.

For School Principal Sally G. Declarador, the celebration served a greater purpose than developing writing skills. "By teaching our learners to value truth, fairness, and integrity, we are preparing them to become responsible communicators and future leaders who will use their voices to serve the community and the nation," she emphasized.

As National Campus Press Freedom Week ended, the activities left behind more than posters, speeches, and reflections. They nurtured confidence, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for ethical journalism. At Tugbok Central Elementary School SPED Center, the celebration was not simply about honoring press freedom—it was about building tomorrow's truth-tellers, one voice, one story, and one meaningful lesson at a time.

Alsons Corporation, nagbigay ng 51 tablets

Nakatanggap ng 51 tablets ang mga mag-aaral ng Tugbok Central Elementary School–SPED Center mula sa Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (ADIC) kasabay ng paglulunsad ng Khan Academy, isang digital learning platform na naglalayong mapahusay ang pagkatuto sa Matematika at iba pang asignatura, noong Hulyo 14 2026.

Ayon kay Miguel Rene Alcantara Dominguez, President at CEO ng Alsons, bahagi ng adbokasiya ng kanilang kumpanya ang pagtulong sa pagpapaunlad ng mga komunidad na kanilang nasasakupan.

“As a symbol of this commitment, it is our pleasure to officially hand over these tablets to Tugbok Central Elementary School. Along with these devices, we are also providing internet connectivity so teachers and students can fully access Khan Academy's digital platform. We hope these resources will give teachers and students new ways to explore lessons, practice skills, and enjoy a more engaging classroom experience.,” ani Dominguez.

Isinagawa rin ang ribbon-cutting ceremony bilang hudyat ng opisyal na turnover ng 51 tablets sa paaralan.

Dinaluhan ang programa ng mga kinatawan ng Alsons, mga g**o ng paaralan, at ni Schools Division Superintendent Reynante A. Solitario, CESO V, ng DepEd Davao City Division.

"And I'm sure this school is indeed very lucky because we have a project here with Alsons Development Investment Corporation”, pahayag ni Reynante A. Solitario.

Ipinaliwanag ni Dominguez na hangad ng kanilang kumpanya na hindi lamang umunlad ang kanilang negosyo kundi maging katuwang din sa pag-unlad ng edukasyon at ng mga pamayanang kanilang pinaglilingkuran.

Inaasahang makatutulong ang mga tablet at ang Khan Academy sa pagpapalawak ng kaalaman at kasanayan ng mga mag-aaral sa pamamagitan ng makabagong teknolohiya.
Makikinabang din ang mga g**o dahil mas mapapadali at magiging mas interaktibo ang paghahatid ng mga aralin sa loob ng silid-aralan.

Ang programang ito ay bahagi ng patuloy na pakikiisa ng Alsons sa pagsuporta sa kalidad ng edukasyon at sa paghahanda ng mga kabataan sa makabagong paraan ng pagkatuto.
