‎The 𝐔𝐌 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐂𝐀𝐄) 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 proudly announces this semester's 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, bringing together 𝐁𝐒𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝟏 (𝟕𝟐𝟐), 𝐁𝐒𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝟑 (𝟕𝟏𝟔), and 𝐁𝐒𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝟓 (𝟓𝟔𝟓𝟐) interns for a day of environmental action through 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 & 𝑪𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒖𝒑 𝑰𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆. The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗔𝗘) successfully conducted the seminar “𝗕𝗘𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗦: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 – 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 | 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁 | 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 | 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱” on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, from 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 to 𝟱:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 at the 𝗨𝗠 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝘆𝗺𝗻𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺, providing students with an enriching experience designed to strengthen their creativity, adaptability, critical thinking, and readiness for the professional world.

To kick off the seminar, 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝘀. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗷𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝘆𝗲 𝗜. 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮 led the assembly in a solemn opening prayer, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the UM Hymn. Setting a welcoming tone for the program, 𝗖𝗔𝗘 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗧. 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, 𝗠𝗦𝗔 delivered her opening remarks to everyone in attendance. The event proceeded smoothly under the adept hosting of 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗚𝘄𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗘. 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗥. 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼.

A key highlight of the seminar was the insightful discussion led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘇, 𝗠𝗕𝗔, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 of the 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 (𝗜𝗠𝗔) 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀. Mr. Velasquez was invited through his involvement with IMA Philippines and his professional experience in accounting, allowing him to connect students with practical perspectives on innovation, adaptability, and professional growth. In attendance as the program’s guest was also the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗜𝗠𝗔 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝘂.

The seminar also highlighted the contribution of the 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 (𝗜𝗠𝗔) in strengthening the accounting and finance profession. Through the IMA Philippines Chapter, the organization supports professional and student development through mentoring programs, university partnerships, leadership initiatives, networking opportunities, educational activities, and engagements that help prepare the next generation of management accounting and finance professionals.

To show gratitude, the organizers presented a certificate and token to Mr. Velasquez and Mr. Lu delivered a message of appreciation before a group photo opportunity.

The program then shifted to its Class Discussion which was used for the Batch 1 Community Extension Orientation for the Codes 1, 3, and 5 led by the 𝗨𝗠 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻, 𝗥𝗦𝗪.

The successful activity contributed to 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟰: 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 by extending meaningful learning beyond the classroom; 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟴: 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 by strengthening competencies needed for productive and future-ready careers; and 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟵: 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆, 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 by encouraging innovative thinking, creativity, and solutions responsive to an evolving professional environment.

By reaffirming the CAE Internship Program’s commitment to developing innovative, adaptable, creative, and future-ready interns, the seminar served as a powerful reminder that professional success requires more than academic preparation—it demands the courage to think critically, adapt, create solutions, and succeed with purpose.

On the morning of 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the 𝗨𝗠 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝘆𝗺 served as a hub of learning and professional development as the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗔𝗘) 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 brought together its interns for a seminar focusing on SEC and BIR Compliance and Filing Procedures. The session aimed to equip future accounting professionals with technical knowledge, practical insights, and regulatory updates essential for navigating today’s dynamic business environment.

With 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝘆𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗣. 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘆 and 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗣. 𝗗𝗼𝗷𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗴 serving as the Masters of Ceremony, the event officially commenced with an opening prayer led by 𝗕𝗦𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟰 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝘆𝗿𝗿𝗵𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗩. 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗰, followed by the opening remarks of 𝗖𝗔𝗘 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗨. 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘀, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, 𝗠𝗦𝗔.

The educational session featured insights from industry professionals from P&A Grant Thornton:
𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗞𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠. 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, opened the discussions by discussing key SEC regulatory developments and updates impacting compliance practices.
𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗚. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗼, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘇𝘆 𝗔. 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, 𝗖𝗧𝗧, continued the discussion with insights into tax applications, procedural adjustments, and practical considerations, complemented by practical case scenarios, technical guidance, and interactive analysis.

The session also featured a short creative break with a karaoke session by 𝗕𝗦𝗔 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗖. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻 from Code 5, who jammed with 𝗖𝗔𝗘 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗧. 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, 𝗠𝗦𝗔, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗚. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗼, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘇𝘆 𝗔. 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, 𝗖𝗧𝗧.

Following the main discussions and interactive 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, a message of appreciation was delivered by the 𝗖𝗔𝗘 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗧. 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, 𝗠𝗦𝗔, extending gratitude to the distinguished speakers, organizers, and participants. The formal program concluded with closing remarks from 𝗕𝗦𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 4 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗼 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘇𝗹 𝗙.
