The IDC is intense, and not everyone progresses at the same pace. The way an IDC handles struggling candidates says a lot about the quality of the training.
👉 What's your approach to feedback?
Constructive, specific, and consistent feedback is what actually helps candidates improve. Ask how it's delivered, how often, and how personalized it is.
👉 What happens if I don't feel ready for the IE?
A good IDC won't push you into an exam you're not ready for. Ask what options exist, like extra coaching, joining the next IDC, or extending your training.
👉 What kind of instructors do your graduates become?
Passing the IE is just the beginning. What matters more is whether graduates become confident, capable teachers who get hired, keep growing, and enjoy their careers.
👉 How much time do you spend on real-world teaching skills?
The IE tests specific standards, but real teaching goes beyond that. Ask how much time is spent on soft skills, student psychology, and situational thinking.
