Omar Khayyam made substantial contributions to cubic equations by formulating a comprehensive theory and offering geometric solutions for all types of positive roots. He categorized and employed intersecting conic sections in his Treatise on the Demonstration of Algebraic Problems, illustrating a profound relationship between algebra and geometry.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was deeply influenced by Islam and its religious phenomena, showing empathy for the faith throughout his life. He studied the Quran extensively and held it in high esteem. Goethe's most significant work, West-Eastern Divan, was a collection of poems that reflected his deep admiration for Islamic culture. He wrote an ode to Muhammad at age 23. The work even included a statement that "the suspicion that he himself is a Muslim" could not be rejected.
