Today, July 16, 2026, the pupils from Grade 3 to 6 of the IBED Department actively participated in the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) elections by casting their votes for the candidates of their choice. The voting process was conducted in an orderly, peaceful, and fair manner, giving every learner the opportunity to exercise their right to vote responsibly.

The activity encouraged the pupils to practice honesty, fairness, and responsibility in choosing their student leaders. It also strengthened their understanding of democracy and the importance of active participation in school governance while making their voices heard through their votes.

Last July 14, 2026, the pupils of the IBED Department conducted a room-to-room campaign for the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) elections. The candidates visited each classroom to introduce themselves, present their platforms, and encourage their fellow pupils to vote wisely.

The activity gave the pupils an opportunity to get to know the candidates and learn about their goals and plans for the school. It also helped promote leadership, responsibility, and active participation in the election process, while encouraging every learner to choose their leaders wisely.

📢 EXECUTIVE ORDER | CLASS SUSPENSION

Pursuant to the Executive Order No. 022, series of 2026, classes in all levels, both public and private schools in the province of Maguindanao del Sur, are hereby suspended on Thursday, July 9, 2026, due to the continuous effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

This measure is implemented to prioritize the safety and welfare of students, teachers, and school personnel amid the prevailing weather conditions.

The public is advised to remain vigilant, monitor official weather advisories, and follow the guidance of local authorities.

🚨 WATCH: DIPMCI-IBED in Action for NSED 2026! 🎥

Today, June 18, 2026, the DIPMCI Elementary Department took a proactive step toward safety by participating in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).

The drill focused on mastering the standard “Duck, Cover, and Hold” protocol to ensure that students and personnel are equipped with the presence of mind required during seismic events. The activity was fully supported by the school administration under the leadership of IBED Department Head Raida M. Latip, MMEM, and facilitated by IBED Teachers and Ustadsez.

The IBED teachers, together with the IBED Principal, Ma'am Raida L. Latip, MMEM, and the School Administrator, Sir Zukarno P. Hadjinor, MPAEM, attended the RAP on Wheels Workshop organized by the Reading Association of the Philippines on June 11, 2026, at Ateneo de Davao University, E. Jacinto Street, Davao City. Their participation was made possible through the invitation extended by the Madaris Volunteer Program (MVP), which encouraged partner schools to take part in this valuable professional development opportunity.

The workshop provided valuable insights, innovative strategies, and effective approaches to strengthening literacy instruction and fostering a culture of reading among learners. Through engaging discussions, collaborative activities, and professional learning sessions, participants gained new knowledge and practical tools that can be applied in IBED classrooms to enhance students' reading comprehension, language development, and overall academic growth.
