“The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them, they are in peace.” - Wisdom 3:1-3

Today, we take a moment to remember and pray for the souls of our loved ones who have departed and whose memories live on in our hearts, and to honor them with gratitude.

We also pray for the forgotten souls and those in need of final purification. May our prayers open the floodgates of God’s love on those who need it the most, and as we pray for those who have passed away, we also pray for our own soul, and ponder how fervently we seek to become transformed into living saints.

May the grace of All Saints and the eternal peace of all souls guide us through the journey of life, and may our hearts be uplifted by the knowledge that we are part of a grand tapestry of human experience, woven with the threads of love, faith, and remembrance.

The Feast of All Saints inspires us to renew our faith and celebrate the lives of all the holy men and women who serve as our guide in life; they are the known and unknown individuals deemed to have achieved the fullness of God’s glory in Heaven. While there may be multitudes of saints whose lives were not in our books and hence forgotten, we ask all our saints to pray for and to pray with us.

As the ‘masterpieces of God's grace,’ our saints lead us to greater holiness and greater intimacy with Jesus. When we honor our saints, we also honor our Maker, Sanctifier, and Redeemer.

May the solemnity of all saints be honored with the truthfulness of our hearts, and may our devotion and faith continue to grow each passing day.

On October 18, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., children worldwide will unite in prayer for peace! And for this year, the Philippine celebration of “One Million Children Praying the Rosary” will be held face to face at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pasig.

Join us in the annual prayer initiative “One Million Children Praying the Rosary” organized by the Catholic Pontifical and charity foundation Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) through the live feed to be shared by Batang DICES page.

On this day, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Milk and Happy Delivery or the “Virgen de la Leche,” the Patroness of all mothers, most especially pregnant women, those who have recently given birth, and also those aspiring to be mothers.

The image of Nuestra Señora de la Leche shows the baby Jesus feeding on His Beloved Blessed Virgin Mother who was holding Him with an expression of a mother’s pure and eternal love for her child.

Let us ask Our Lady of La Leche and Happy Delivery to help us live in the joy of the Gospel and to live knowing we are children of God and brothers and sisters to all people.

May we fill our lives with the same reality that Mary filled it with—full of grace and full of God.

Happy World Teachers’ Day, Gurong DICES!

Your strength lies not just in your ability to make lessons understood, to make children listen and sit still, to listen to and care genuinely for those who rely on you, to smile amidst situations that hurt you to your core, to carry on after seeing your students graduate and leave school, or to pray for your students who were gone too soon.

Rather, your strength lies in your ability to love and make sacrifices for this profession without expecting anything in return, to care for other people’s children and treat them as your own, to wipe your students’ tears and fears and replace them with courage and motivation, to inspire many hearts and touch many lives, and leave a lasting positive influence in your students.

Know that everything that you do is greatly appreciated, and that your hard work and commitment never go unnoticed.

As long as there are dedicated, selfless, and passionate teachers like you, there is hope in the world!

Love our Pope, Love our Church!

Join us in launching the Love Our Pope Movement in the Diocese of Imus - this Saturday, September 30, 5pm at the Parish of the Holy Family, Lancaster New City, Alapan 2B, Imus.

Bishop Rey will preside over the Eucharistic celebration.

We join hands in praying for Pope Francis and the Synod on Synodality that will be celebrated in Rome next week. We pray for the unity of the Church led by our Chief Shepherd, the Pope.

The story of San Lorenzo Ruiz, the first canonized Filipino saint, is a story of an ordinary man who did not dream of sainthood. Yet in the face of death, he did not give up his faith and his God; instead, he showed how the Word of God can be put into practice by facing adversity with courage.

Falsely accused of killing a Spaniard, San Lorenzo Ruiz fled the country with three Dominican priests and a layman, and arrived in Japan where the feudal military government was heavily persecuting Christians. There, they were arrested, imprisoned, and tortured.

When he refused to denounce his faith, San Lorenzo Ruiz was imprisoned for two years. He could have denied his faith to save his life, but he did not; and during those terrible last days of his life, his soul found peace and assurance that his suffering was not in vain. His body was then cremated, and his ashes were discarded by being thrown into the sea.

May we be inspired by the life of St. Lorenzo Ruiz who teaches us that God is present in the midst of our suffering and that the Holy Spirit will strengthen us in our hour of need. May we also have the grace to follow Jesus until the end and to have the courage and strength to follow His lead with self-denial and detachment.

Known for his profession as a tax collector and his role as one of the four evangelists, St. Matthew was one of the Twelve Apostles called by our Lord. The Church celebrates the feast of this great saint out of reverence for his role as an Apostle of Christ, his Gospel writings, and his work of evangelization.

To most people of his day, St. Matthew would have been considered a “sinner.” Nevertheless, Christ decided to befriend him, demonstrating that He “came not to call the righteous, but sinners” (Mt 9:13).

From the life of St. Matthew, may we fully realize that our past does not define us; and that God, who transformed this sinner-tax collector into the great apostle, can also transform us today in our own walk with Him. Like St. Matthew, let us be willing to let God into our hearts and lives knowing that He considers everyone to be worthy of Him.
