DLSU-D, Dasmariñas City Government Renew Partnership
De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) and the City Government of Dasmariñas have formally renewed their strategic partnership, reinforcing a shared, long-term commitment to educational development and local civic progress today, June 17, 2026.
The commitment was locked in through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed by university and city officials. Heading the DLSU-D delegation were University President Br. Iñigo Riola, FSC, Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Sonia Gementiza, and Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations Dr. Maria Nornelyn Cacheula.
By keeping this teamwork alive, DLSU-D and the Dasmariñas local government unit (LGU) are set to pool their resources once again—this time focusing on heavier community outreach, helping marginalized sectors, and giving students better, hands-on training for public service and future careers.

Microchip-CEAT Partnership Delivers Next-Gen Hardware and Faculty Training
Microchip Technology Inc., through its local subsidiary MTI Advanced Test Development Corporation, has officially turned over a valuable donation of next-generation hardware to the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) today, June 17, 2026.
The donation includes an array of cutting-edge instructional and developmental tools: early-access wireless kits, development boards, mini-FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) boards, and MIPI DSI round touch display modules. These tools will give students direct, hands-on experience with hardware widely used in cutting-edge semiconductor testing, aerospace applications, and embedded vision systems.
The partnership was spearheaded and facilitated by Dr. Ma. Nathalie Pineda, the Dean of CEAT, who worked closely with Microchip representatives to align the hardware acquisition with the university's academic goals.
Beyond providing hardware, Microchip will conduct a series of comprehensive, free faculty training sessions to ensure that college educators are fully proficient in utilizing the advanced components.
"This collaboration is a big win for our students," said Dr. Pineda. "By integrating Microchip's early-access technologies directly into our laboratories, we are ensuring our engineering graduates are day-one ready for the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries."
The newly acquired hardware and training frameworks are slated to be integrated seamlessly into the upgraded CEAT engineering and technology curriculum starting next academic year.

DLSU-D Formalizes Strategic Partnership with WPH Digital
De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) formally sealed its partnership with WPH Digital through the signing of an MOU at the ADG Boardroom on June 4, 2026.
WPH Digital is a Singapore-based, ISO 9001:2015-certified technology company specializing in innovative digital solutions across industries including education, finance, healthcare, and retail. The company delivers a comprehensive suite of services — from web and mobile application development to cloud solutions — leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics to drive digital transformation across the Asia-Pacific region.
Representing DLSU-D, University Provost Dr. Christian George Francisco led the formalization of the partnership, while WPH Digital was represented by Managing Director Mr. Vincent Leoh and Partner Manager Mr. BJay Divinagracia.
The MOU outlines key areas of collaboration, including joint research initiatives, faculty development programs, and the co-organization of an Annual Tech Summit. A major highlight of the agreement is the establishment of the WPH–DLSU-D AI Innovation Lab, envisioned as a dynamic space for experimentation, learning, and the development of cutting-edge technological solutions.
The signing was attended by the College of Information and Computer Studies (CICS) Dean, Ms. Marivic Mitschek, and Dr. Aims Rocina, Director of the University Research Office. Through this strategic alliance, DLSU-D faculty and students are expected to gain expanded access to training and development opportunities in Cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence, and DevOps.

DLSU-D Sends Off HNUE Exchange Student
De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), through the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations (OVPGEER), held a send-off program for NGUYỄN THỊ NGỌC LINH, an exchange student from Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE), marking the successful completion of her academic stay in the University.
NGUYỄN THỊ NGỌC LINH (Jessica) was hosted by DLSU-D during the second semester of Academic Year 2025–2026, where she pursued her studies under the Biology Department of the College of Science. Throughout her stay, she actively engaged in academic and cultural activities, gaining valuable learning experiences while immersing herself in the Lasallian community.
As part of her exposure to Philippine heritage and culture, the Linkages and Scholarship Office organized a visit to notable historical sites in Manila, which she attended together with other international students hosted by the University. These activities provided meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange and global learning beyond the classroom.
A short program and awarding ceremony were held at the OVPGEER Office, where NGUYỄN THỊ NGỌC LINH was presented with a certificate of completion in recognition of her participation in the student mobility program. The ceremony symbolized the culmination of her exchange experience and her contributions to the academic community.

DLSU-D and St. Mary’s University of Minnesota Hold Exploratory Talks on Joint Degree Program
De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), through the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations (OVPGEER), initiated exploratory discussions with St. Mary’s University of Minnesota to explore potential academic collaborations.
The meeting brought together representatives from both La Sallian institutions to identify opportunities that would enhance student learning and global engagement. Representing DLSU-D were Dr. Maria Nornelyn Cachuela, Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations; Dr. Irene Gueco, Director of the Linkages and Scholarship Office; and Ms. Agnes Olarte, International Mobility Officer.
Ms. Karen Ho, Director of International Partnerships at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, presented the institution’s undergraduate and graduate programs, highlighting areas for possible collaboration. Discussions focused on potential initiatives such as academic pathways, student and faculty mobility, and joint academic engagements.

DLSU-D Welcomes Naga College Foundation, Inc. for Benchmarking Activity
De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), through the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations (OVPGEER), successfully hosted a benchmarking activity with Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF), reaffirming its commitment to academic collaboration and institutional excellence.
Representing DLSU-D were Dr. Maria Virginia Aguilar, Dean of the College of Professional and Graduate Studies; Dr. Leo Manansala, Vice Dean of CPGS; Dr. Maria Nornelyn Cachuela, Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations; Irene Gueco, Director of the Linkages and Scholarship Office; and Agnes Olarte, International Mobility Officer. Their collective expertise enabled a comprehensive presentation of the University’s academic framework, governance mechanisms, and program offerings.
Meanwhile, Naga College Foundation, Inc. was represented by Dr. Edwin Bernal, Vice President for Academic Business Development; Prof. Jayme Ignacio, Product and Learning Development Officer; Prof. Ma. Antonette Lamery, Industry Partnership and Marketing Officer; and Prof. Leomir Paz, Data Analyst and System Development Officer. The visiting delegation actively engaged in the discussions, particularly in understanding DLSU-D’s implementation of its academic structures and systems.
The engagement focused on sharing best practices and institutional insights, particularly on the structure and academic delivery of the College of Professional and Graduate Studies (CPGS). DLSU-D Strengthens Industry Linkages with Megaworld Hotels & Resorts
De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), through the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations, welcomed representatives from Megaworld Hotels & Resorts in a collaborative meeting attended by administrators from various colleges.
The meeting served as a platform to further enhance existing collaborations between DLSU-D and Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, particularly in advancing internship opportunities and fostering industry-academe engagement. A key initiative highlighted during the discussion was the Industry Practitioner Engagement Program (IPEP), which facilitates the sharing of industry expertise to enrich academic instruction and professional preparation of students.
Representatives from the different Megaworld hotel properties across the Philippines introduced their respective establishments, presenting diverse opportunities for faculty immersion, student internships, and other academic-related activities. This exchange provided valuable insights into current industry practices and expanded potential avenues for experiential learning.

DLSU-D and Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo Discuss Future Linkages
DLSU-Dasmariñas, through the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations (OVPGEER), initiated exploratory discussions with Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH), Mexico, on June 2, 2026, to explore potential areas of academic collaboration.
The meeting was led by Dr. Nornelyn Cachuela, Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations, and was facilitated by Ms. Marisa Winkler of the Embassy of the Philippines in Mexico City. The engagement reflects DLSU-D’s continued commitment to strengthening international partnerships and expanding opportunities for both its academic community and partner institutions.
During the exploratory talks, both institutions identified key areas for possible collaboration, including faculty and student mobility programs, joint research initiatives, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), and the development of mirror classes. These priority areas highlight a shared interest in advancing global learning experiences, fostering intercultural exchange, and promoting collaborative academic innovation.
