Good governance is not just a dream of the youth—it is their demand. They shout, they protest, they push back against a system that keeps betraying them. Yet many Filipinos still close their eyes. They walk straight into the same trap, electing leaders who feed on greed, who hoard wealth, and who treat power as their prize.

The mansions they build, the luxury they flaunt, the endless feasts they enjoy, these are bought with the sweat and sacrifice of ordinary Filipinos. Taxes meant for hospitals, schools, farms, bridges, and national defense are drained to serve corruption. Even lifelines for the poor—the 4Ps, health insurance, and survival funds are twisted into political games instead of serving their fellow Filipinos.

The youth fought back. They showed courage, but it was crushed, not by weakness, but by betrayal. Betrayal by fellow citizens who traded their votes for nothing, leaving the country to rot in the hands of the corrupt.

On September 21, 2025, under the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., we gathered in protest. That date was no accident: it was the anniversary of Martial Law, a reminder of one of our nation’s darkest chapters.

We chose it to declare that democracy must never be silenced, and that leaders must answer to the people rather than ignoring the voice that wants equality, accountability, and justice. To see billions stolen while Filipinos struggle just to survive is not only disgraceful, it is a crime against the nation.

We are here today because too many failed to protect their votes, because indifference prevailed over vigilance. But a new movement is rising, not from hope alone, but from their anger and that anger must not die before and after the 2028 elections. Never again, never forget.

We deserve better. The Philippines deserves better. Let every vote be treated as if the nation’s survival depends on it—because it does. Let us not waste it again.

"Nature and time are the ultimate tellers"

WE ARE ONE. We fight for the future of our nation and for every Filipino who has suffered from floods caused by ghost flood-control projects—projects where the budget meant to protect us was stolen. We will no longer be blinded by their lies. Together, we will raise our voices, stand for the truth, and demand justice for what has been taken from us. MANAGOT ANG DAPAT MANAGOT.

Connected Not By Blood, But By Flood
