Division-Wide Grand Investiture Ceremony Marks Historic First in Dasmariñas City

Dasmariñas City, October 24, 2025 — A momentous event unfolded at the Dasmariñas Grandstand and Oval as more than 10,000 scouts and guests from various schools across the city gathered for the first-ever Division-Wide Grand Investiture Ceremony. The activity, which ran from 5:30 AM to 12:00 NN, marked a significant milestone in the history of Scouting in Dasmariñas City.

The event was spearheaded by Dr. Jhonie Jeff I. Marquez, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Division Coordinator of Dasmariñas City, with the support of school administrators, scout leaders, and local government officials headed by our City Mayor, Hon. Jennifer A. Barzaga. The event aimed to strengthen the values of leadership, service, and camaraderie among young scouts, highlighting the city’s growing commitment to the Scouting movement.

The investiture covered all Scouting programs — the KID Scout, KAB Scout, Boy Scout, and Senior Scout Programs — symbolizing the unity and continuity of Scouting development from the early years to the senior levels. Each program’s investiture highlighted the growth and progression of every scout in their journey of service, discipline, and leadership.

Adding prestige to the event were distinguished guests from the Boy Scouts of the Philippines National Office — FSG Roger C. Villa, Former Secretary General of the BSP, and Atty. Cedrick G. Train, the current Secretary General of the BSP. Their presence inspired both scouts and leaders, emphasizing the national organization’s strong support for the continuous growth of Scouting in Dasmariñas City.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the investiture of Senior Scouts, which was led by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Outfit No. 981 under the guidance of their Outfit Advisor, Sir Ulyses O. Tafalla. The solemn rite symbolized the scouts’ pledge to uphold the Scout Oath and Law and to live by the principles of duty to God, country, and fellowmen.

The grand assembly also served as a venue to showcase the unity and enthusiasm of the Scouting community in Dasmariñas City. With thousands of scouts standing proudly in uniform, the event became a powerful reminder of the organization’s mission—to build character, citizenship, and leadership among the youth.

As the first city-wide gathering of its kind, the Division-Wide Investiture Ceremony will be remembered as a historic and inspiring occasion that strengthened the spirit of Scouting and set a new benchmark for future BSP activities in Dasmariñas City.
