History of the Pupil's Choice Awards of Pintong Gubat Elementary School (established October 5, 2009).
Started way back October 5, 2009, the Pupil's Choice Awards (PCA) was a product of brainstorming on innovative ideas in one of professional meetings with then PGES Principal, now SGOD Chief, Dr. Leticia T. Lopez, and SPG Adviser Mr. Gerva Mark M. Tafalla, with the assistance of Mrs. Josephine P. Mercado. The first SPG Mayor (now called SELG President) who pioneered the realization of the PCA was President Divina Luces (now Mrs. Verzosa).
Celebrated annually, except for a short hiatus in 2011 and 2012, the Pupil's Choice Awards has enjoyed support and backing from former PGES School Heads, Dr. Lopez, Dr. Adoracion I. Delos Santos, Mrs. Thelma B. Bueno (PSDS/OIC), Mrs. Celestia U. Tapia, Mr. Michael M. De Guzman (PSDS/OIC), Mr. Joel Salazar (EPS/OIC), Mr. Randy G. Mendoza, Dr. Rochelle I. Pacatang, and now with the very supportive Principal III, Maam Marian M. Lomeda.
Supreme Elementary Learner Government Officers (formerly SPG) manages the whole process of PCA voting and counting of votes, giving opportunity for the pupil population to be the sole decision-makers in selecting their best teacher in every grade level. Awards are given in the culminating activities for Teachers Month of each year. Former SPG Advisers who spearheaded the PCA includes Mr. Tafalla, Mrs. Josephine P. Mercado, Mrs. Sue P. Catamco, Mrs. Heidy G. Caballero and back again to Mr. Tafalla.
Now in its 15th year, the PCA of Pintong Gubat Elementary School has stood the test of time and is already an institution of its own, being a trailblazer of similar pupil/student-organized award-giving celebrations in other schools in the Division of Dasmariñas.

In a remarkable display of youth engagement and leadership, the Pupil Representative of Pintong Gubat Elementary School actively participated in the recent School Governing Council (SGC) meeting. Held online via Google Meet last August 6, 2025, the gathering brought together key stakeholders—including school administrators, teachers, parents, and community leaders—to collaboratively discuss policies, programs, and initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education and pupil welfare.
This moment not only highlights the commitment of Pintong Gubat Elementary School to democratic participation but also inspires other institutions to foster pupil empowerment and civic responsibility from an early age.
Congratulations President Christian for representing us, pupils at the SGC! 👍

This year's 𝙉𝙪𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝 2025 Celebration with a theme: “Food and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!” reminds us that access to nutritious food is not just a privilege—it is a right!
SELG joins the celebration with its own contest, the "Mustasa, Kinakausap Ka Pa Ba Niya?": A Hilarious Catchphrase Contest for Intermediate Pupils.

Promoting sustainability and inspiring others to take action towards protecting the environment, these are the key take-aways in the Environmental IEC (Information, Education and Communication) Program of the Orchard Golf and Country Club Inc.
Attended by SELG and YES-O Officers of Pintong Gubat Elementary School, this endeavour encourages pupil-leaders to be school ambassadors in promoting environmental awareness and initiatives such as cleanups, recycling and segregation of campus wastes, coincidentally influencing their peers to be stewards for change.
SELG would like to thank the Orchard Golf and Country Club Inc.; the Cavite Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO); the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas headed by Sir Elias Alicaya; and the Office of Vice Mayor Third Barzaga for the opportunity. July 15, 2025.

Maybe late but never falter with enthusiasm to lead and serve.
Other officers of SELG who were not present during the Official Oathtaking last April 16, had their Special Oathtaking and Call to Duty with our school's Master Teacher II and concurrent Guidance Teacher, Maam Angelina P. Paredes, as administering officer.
Together, let us all strive to achieve great things at SELG.
