Wordsmith - DEIHS English Club

✨ The 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 is 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙙 and 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙 to have been a part of the successful 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙊𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙊𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 held at Dasmariñas East Integrated High School yesterday, October 3rd, 2025. ✨

Apart from getting the chance to learn how to apply 𝙍𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩'𝙨 𝙍𝙪𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙊𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧 properly, we also got to observe a 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙩 and 𝙛𝙪𝙣 role-playing activity conducted by other organizations that were also present. 📚🤝

The English Club is truly 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙡 to have the opportunity to learn how to conduct meetings in a 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧, 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧. 💼✨

Despite the gloomy skies and the tropical storm, nothing can stop us from discovering new words that brighten and sharpen our knowledge!

IMPECUNIOUS: Salat sa kayamanan, kapos sa pera.

Examples:

1. Even in his IMPECUNIOUS days, he never stopped chasing his dreams.

2. Being IMPECUNIOUS doesn’t mean being hopeless—it’s just the start of a bigger story.

3. She may be IMPECUNIOUS, but her heart is rich with kindness.

WORD NUMBER TWO: Ephemeral—Fleeting or temporary, panandalian😁.

Examples:

1. Happiness may be EPHEMERAL, but its memory can last a lifetime.

2. The beauty of a sunrise is EPHEMERAL, reminding us to treasure every moment.

3. Life’s EPHEMERAL trials often give birth to lasting wisdom.

We may walk through IMPECUNIOUS days and EPHEMERAL joys, yet both teach us that life is ever-changing. Hardship shapes strength, and fleeting moments leave eternal lessons.

Grades may not always reflect the extent of effort, time, and dedication that students invest in their studies. It is natural to feel a sense of disappointment when results do not meet one’s expectations, but it is also important to understand that grades are merely numerical representations, not definitive measures of one’s intelligence, potential, or character.

Academic performance, while valuable, is only one dimension of personal growth. The persistence we build through challenges, the discipline we strengthen in our routines, and the courage to continue striving despite difficulties are achievements that no grade can fully capture. What truly matters is the consistent effort and determination that contribute to lifelong learning and eventual success.

Let us then view grades not as final verdicts, but as temporary feedback—reminders of areas where we can improve and opportunities that push us to grow further. They serve as stepping stones, not stumbling blocks, in the broader journey of education and self-development.

We may feel upset or even gloomy, and at times it may take us long to recover from the weight of our grades. However, let this not be our downfall, but rather a stepping stone—an opportunity to rise, improve, and take another step forward: ).

Our 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 is 𝙗𝙤𝙡𝙙 and 𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨: to accomplish meaningful tasks that will create lasting change. It was truly an extraordinary experience for the students to witness how safety works—not just in theory, but in action. 🧠✨ Thanks to the invitation from the SDRRM leaders and officers, the club officers of Dasmariñas East Integrated High School were given the valuable opportunity to be part of an engaging and educational session. 📚🤝

The speakers were deeply appreciated for their clear guidance and life-saving demonstrations—from Drop-Cover-Hold during earthquakes and typhoons, to the powerful and accurate presentation of Hands-Only CPR. 🛡️💓 The lessons were not only well-demonstrated, but also well-interpreted and understood by the students. 🎓👏

They wholeheartedly accepted the knowledge offered, gaining practical skills and preparedness that will stay with them beyond the session. 🧰🧠 The brief moments of fun and entertainment added to the excitement and made the learning even more memorable. 🎉😄
