While the Philippines does not have true bogs, it is home to remarkable tropical peatlands, including the Agusan Marsh in Agusan del Sur and the Leyte Sab-a Basin in Leyte. These ecosystems play a vital role in biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation ๐ŸŒŽ๐ŸŒบ.

๐Ÿ“šโœจ Despite their ecological importance, Philippine peatlands remain among the country's least studied ecosystems, leaving many of their species, ecological functions, and long-term environmental benefits still waiting to be discovered.
