Strengthening Sustainability Through Partnership and Innovation

On May 19, 2026, the NU Dasmariñas formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with Rezbin, reinforcing a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and technological innovation under Project I.M.P.A.C.T. (Initiatives on Micro Plastics Advocacies, Capstones, and Technologies).

The signing brought together key representatives from both institutions, with Rezbin represented by Julia Reese Reyes and Raevene Raeanne Morillo, both Business Development Specialists, and NU Dasmariñas represented by Dr. Catherine D. Lagadia, RGC, Executive Director, and Hersel Danna E. Sangalang, Academic Services Assistant Director.

Rezbin is a Philippine-based cleantech startup founded in 2023 that develops tech-enabled, reward-based recycling systems designed to make waste segregation more accessible, measurable, and engaging. Through its smart recycling bins, mobile app, and data-driven platform, Rezbin helps institutions and communities reduce plastic waste, improve recycling behavior, and promote circular economy practices in workplaces, schools, and commercial spaces.

Through this collaboration, both parties aim to advance impactful initiatives that promote sustainable practices, empower student-led innovation, and address environmental challenges, particularly in microplastics advocacy and related technologies.
