Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀, 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆).

𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀 for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented.

Government offices shall implement appropriate 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. However, offices whose functions involve providing 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 and are directly involved in 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 shall continue with their operations and render necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 4

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

Localized cancellation or suspension of classes in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives.

Matapos ang masaya at makasaysayang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika noong Agosto 26, 2026, lalo pang uminit ang samahan ng ating buong paaralan sa isinagawang masaya at masaganang salu-salo sa tulong ng mga mag-aaral at mga magulang na naghandog ng iba't ibang masasarap na pagkaing Pilipino. 💜💛

Tunay na pinagpala ang ating hapag-kainan hindi lamang sa dami ng masasarap na putahe tulad ng pancit, p**o, suman, at iba pang kakanin, kundi pati na rin sa pagkakaisa, pagtutulungan, at pagmamahalan na ipinamalas ng bawat isa habang sabay-sabay nating pinagsasaluhan ang mga handog ng ating sariling kultura at tradisyon. ✨

Buong-giliw na ipinamalas ng ating mga mag-aaral ang kanilang talento sa pamamagitan ng pag-awit, pagsayaw, at pagtatanghal ng makukulay na piyesa sa declamasyon sa wikang pambansa. Tunay na kahanga-hanga ang kanilang sigla at husay sa pagpapahayag na nagpakita ng mataas na pagpapahalaga at pagmamahal sa ating pambansang wika. ✨

August 21 is Ninoy Aquino Day, a national special non-working holiday in the Philippines. It commemorates the death anniversary of former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. 💜💛

𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝟰𝟯𝗥𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗬𝗥𝗗𝗢𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗘𝗡. 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗢 “𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗬” 𝗔𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗢, 𝗝𝗥. 🎗️

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines, with the New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation, Manila International Airport Authority, Human Rights Violations Victims’ Memorial Commission, Spirit of EDSA Foundation, Bantayog ng mga Bayani Foundation, Project Gunita, August Twenty-One Movement, Chino Roces Foundation, NAMSERV, and Earthsaver; will lead the commemoration of the 43rd anniversary of the Martyrdom of Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr. on Friday, 21 August 2026, 8:00 a.m., at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 in Parañaque City. NHCP Chair Regalado Trota Jose, Jr. will lead the simple flower offering alongside representatives from the various government and civil society organizations joining the event.

Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr. is a prominent political figure in our nation’s history. Known as a staunch political critic of then President Ferdinand E. Marcos, Sr., he was one of the first members of the opposition arrested upon the declaration of Martial Law in September 1972. He spent the next eight years incarcerated in military stockades and prison camps on various charges to which he vehemently maintained his innocence in. He continued to struggle for justice while incarcerated, famously undertaking a 40-day long Hunger Strike in 1975 in protest of the military court-martial. In 1980, he suffered a heart attack while in prison and was subsequently allowed to leave the country for treatment where he would stay in exile until 1983 when he went home amidst serious threats to his life. On 21 August 1983, he was killed upon arrival at the then-Manila International Airport. His death is widely recognized as a watershed moment in the resistance and calls for political reform that culminated in the massive turn-out for his funeral procession and later the 1986 People Power Revolution. Republic Act No. 9256 proclaimed 21 August as Ninoy Aquino Day, a Special Non-Working Holiday.
