Fifty-four years after the declaration of Martial Law, we remember the Filipinos who were tortured, forcibly disappeared, and killed during one of the darkest periods in our history. The Institutional Student Council stands against the denial and glorification of these documented human rights violations.

As Lasallians, we have a responsibility to remember the truth and honor the stories of those who suffered. Their experiences should not be erased or changed, especially for the sake of making history easier to accept.
May we continue to remember, speak the truth, and learn from our past. By keeping these stories alive, we help ensure that the same pain and oppression will never be forgotten or repeated............

Today, we remember how quickly basic rights disappeared when martial law took over, and how fear replaced freedom. But even when speaking out was dangerous, our people still found a way to stand up for the truth.
Their courage reminds us that silence is never an option when justice is on the line. Every voice matters when it comes to keeping history alive and calling out overreach.

Following the decisions made by the Academic Services Operating Committee, the Institutional Student Council made a formal appeal letter regarding the postponement of the Lasallian General Assembly dated September 9, 2026.

The Institutional Student Council raised all the possible areas of contingency, however, the ASOC's decisions were deemed final and unified.
