National Reading Month 2025

Dasmariñas City, Cavite — November 24, 2025 — Paliparan Elementary School welcomed the Divine & Wisdom Producers Cooperative on Monday for a two-part outreach program that delivered both a feeding initiative for young learners and a medical mission for teachers, strengthening community support for the school’s Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) beneficiaries.

The nationally registered cooperative, together with the Solo Parents Group of Silang, Cavite, visited the school to provide nutritional and wellness assistance aligned with DepEd’s learning recovery efforts. More than 400 servings of lugaw were distributed to Kinder to Grade 4 pupils, with priority given to learners under the ARAL Program. Frozen pops were also handed out after meals, adding to the festive atmosphere and encouraging learner participation.

ARAL is a national initiative designed to help students catch up on foundational skills, particularly in reading, mathematics, and science. School officials noted that the feeding activity complemented ARAL tutorials and enrichment sessions by addressing learners’ health needs—an essential factor in improving attention, attendance, and classroom engagement.

Alongside the feeding program, the cooperative conducted a medical mission specifically for school teachers, providing on-site health services as part of its broader advocacy for community wellness. The team introduced a QRMA scanning machine capable of assessing 36 vital organs with same-day results, offering educators access to immediate health screening and preventive care.

Key representatives who led the activities included Valentino Manimbao, Luzviminda Emperador, Dr. Ednalyn Valencia, and Marvin Emperador, president of the Solo Parents of San Vicente I. The outreach was sponsored by Ma’am Carina Tudela, sister of Emperador, supporting the cooperative’s expansion of its regular Silang-based outreach toward Dasmariñas City upon the request of Paliparan ES principal.

The day began with a courtesy call and orientation with school personnel, followed by the feeding distribution for pupils and the medical mission for teachers. Organizers said the program highlighted the importance of holistic learning recovery—where academic support is reinforced by proper nutrition and sustained care for both learners and educators.

Principal II Solita B. Poblete, along with Master Teachers and other school staff, expressed gratitude to the cooperative, the Divine & Wisdom Producers Cooperative, and sponsors for choosing Paliparan Elementary School as a beneficiary. They emphasized that partnerships like these help create healthier, more motivated learners and better-supported teachers, ultimately strengthening the school community.
