🤖🏁 Mech Mayhem 2.0: CREST Spirit Shines in Robotics Showdown 🏁🤖

Baguio City – Innovation, strategy, and engineering brilliance collided at Mech Mayhem 2.0 on May 7, 2025, as student-built robots battled for supremacy in the Sumobot 1KG and 3KG autonomous divisions.

Organized by the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines – SLU Student Chapter, with support from SIGLAT – Baguio Youth Innovation Hub, XPasM 3D Printing Services, and Pinoy Robot Games, the event celebrated the spirit of hands-on STEM learning and youth innovation.

Gerry Luha Jr. , emerged as a top contender, winning 🥇 Champion in the 3KG Autonomous category and 🥈 1st Runner-up in the 1KG Autonomous category, showcasing CREST-level excellence in both design and strategy.

Among the 89,510 aspiring scholars who took the pen-and-paper qualifying examination on April 6-7, 2024 in 205 test centers nationwide, a total of 10,756 examinees have earned their well-deserved spot for the scholarship.

These incoming college freshmen qualifiers are set to enjoy their scholarship benefits in the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025.

For waitlisted applicants, admission will only be granted if a slot becomes available. Please ensure to monitor your emails for any notifications.

NOTE: Students with ** and *** in their names are required to provide copies of grades for at least 2 or 3 quarters. Please submit this requirements by May 6, 2024. Failure to do so will result in the allotted slot being given to wait list students.
