NU DASMARINAS TO IMPLEMENT SUSTAINABLE AND ECO-FRIENDLY CAMPUS INITIATIVES

In support of the campus' strong commitment to environmental sustainability and an eco-friendly campus, NU Dasmarinas is to implement these initiatives in line with the existing national laws, DepEd memoranda, and city ordinance: No to Single-Use Plastic, Use of Environment-Friendly Alternatives, Kanya-Kanya Wednesdays, No Trash Bin Thursdays, and Bring It In-Bring It Out (BIN-BIO).

Through these initiatives, we can be one step ahead for a more sustainable and eco-friendlier campus promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, primarily SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13: Climate Action, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.

Your cooperation and compliance will be a huge contribution to these initiatives.

Effective August 17, 2026, the initiative shall enter its Soft Launch and Voluntary Compliance Phase, applicable to all students, employees, and other campus stakeholders. Full implementation and mandatory compliance shall commence on August 24, 2026.

As we embark on a new academic year, free morning and afternoon snacks was offered to all faculty members and employees of NU Dasmariñas on the first day of school. We hope this small celebration serves as a token of appreciation and brings happiness, energy, and a positive start to everyone's day. Thank you for your continued dedication and commitment to our NU community.

Level Up: Career Workshops & Events — Daddy, Chill: Achieving Work-Life Balance in Fatherhood (Seminar) & Lights, Camera, Chill (Movie Screening Activity)

Through our recent activities, we highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between work, family, and personal well-being. In the seminar “Daddy, Chill: Achieving Work-Life Balance in Fatherhood” with Sir Alvin Camacho, participants explored the essence of parenthood and gained meaningful insights on managing responsibilities both at work and at home. The session offered simple yet effective strategies to promote self-care, strengthen family connections, and sustain a positive mindset amid busy schedules.

Complementing this learning experience was our “Lights, Camera, Chill” movie screening activity, where faculty members and employees were given the opportunity to unwind in a calm and relaxing environment. This initiative encouraged everyone to embrace moments of rest and comfort, serving as a gentle reminder that taking time to recharge is essential for sustaining productivity and overall wellness.
