𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 | The SSO Guidance Department officially kicks off its “Annual SSO Upskilling, Program Alignment for SY 2026–2027, and Self-Care Activity.”

The program began with thoughtful workshops facilitated by our guidance counselors: Mental Health Screening Tools by Sir Spencer Mapute, Psychological Capital by Ma’am Ma. Catrine Durana and Conducting Action Research by Dr. Romelyn Saul.

The afternoon session featured the presentation of annual accomplishment reports, highlighting the guidance services of each department and sharing valuable learnings toward the continuous improvement of the department.

Through continuous learning and shared commitment, the department remains dedicated to fostering a more responsive and supportive academic community.

𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬: 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

With this year’s theme, “𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞,” we proudly celebrated our Peer Facilitators for their outstanding service and dedication as one of the pillars of the Guidance and Counseling Office. Their commitment, compassion, and willingness to serve have truly made a meaningful impact on the community.

This celebration became even more inspiring with the presence of our invited guest speaker and peer alumna, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀, who generously shared her journey, experiences, and life lessons as a former peer facilitator, encouraging everyone to continue building responsible leaders through service, empathy, and support.

The program concluded with a 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, whose guidance, kindness, and unwavering support made them more than just facilitators, but also trusted ates and kuyas within the community. Their dedication and influence will always remain a part of the family they helped nurture.

The afternoon session of the Job Seeking Seminar-Workshop, began with 𝗠𝗿. 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗼, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗡𝗚𝗢, as he shared his expertise on 𝗣𝗿𝗲-𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀 with all fourth-year college students.

Mr. Geronimo challenged the students through mock interview activities designed to enhance their confidence, communication skills, and readiness for the professional world. His engaging discussion provided valuable insights and practical preparation for future employment opportunities.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪: The College Guidance and Counseling Office is currently conducting the 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 on the 7th Floor of the New Academic Building.

Department of Labor and Employment representative Mr. John Rainier Enriquez, Senior Labor and Employment Officer from DOLE Cavite, together with Ms. Riza Ramirez-Flores, Labor and Employment Officer III, and Mr. Christian Joshua Caya, Labor and Employment Officer I from the Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office IV-A Migrant Workers Protection Division, are currently sharing valuable insights and practical guidance with fourth-year college students on how to prepare for and successfully navigate the professional world.

The seminar-workshop aims to equip students with essential knowledge and skills for career readiness, employment preparation, and future professional opportunities.
