28 April 2024 - In view of the latest heat index forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and the announcement of a nationwide transport strike, all public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on April 29 and 30, 2024.

Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their respective stations.

However, activities organized by Regional and Schools Division Offices, such as Regional Athletic Association Meets and other division or school level programs, to be conducted on the aforementioned dates may push through as scheduled, provided that measures for the safety of all participants have been carefully considered.

Finally, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.

The City Schools Division of Dasmariñas administered tooth fluoride applications to San Nicolas Elementary school pupils, promoting oral health and preventing cavities. By strengthening tooth enamel and boosting resistance to tooth decay, fluoride treatments effectively reduce the risk of future dental issues. This proactive measure instills healthy oral habits from a young age, laying the groundwork for lifelong dental wellness.

To determine the progress in achieving the RPMS objectives, Cluster 8 conducts Midyear Performance Review for school year 2023-2024.

Together with the PSDS of Cluster 8 lead by Ma’am Therese Danielle P. Bejosa the said conduct of midyear review was fruitful in providing coaching and feedback that are appropriate and necessary for Highly Proficient Teachers.

This is anent to DepEd Order 2, s. 2015, re: Guidelines on the Establishment and Implementation of the Results-Based Performance Management System (RPMS). DepEd Memorandum 008, s. 2022, re: Multi-Year Guidelines of the Results-Based Performance Management- Philippines Professional Standards for Teachers.

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 368, s. 2024 signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., March 28 and March 29 are regular holidays, and March 30 is an additional special (non-working) day, making for an extended weekend in observance of Holy Week 2024.

Government office work is suspended on March 27, 2024, from 12:00 PM onwards, allowing employees to observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday on March 28-29, 2024, and facilitating their travel to and from different regions in the country.

The suspension of work in private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective employers.
