This is how looks like in our family.
As parents, we provide or prepare materials based on our children's interests. Recently, LZ expressed his curiosity about how a water filter works. He planned the idea with his dad and his dad helped him prepare the necessary materials.
It's amazing to witness our children's curiosity and we're glad to support their interests.
What about you? How do you encourage your child's curiosity?

Slow Morning = Devotion + Connection
Our mornings begin with having breakfast together while I read Bible stories or verses. I asked them both easy and hard questions from the stories and in general but most of the time they asked me questions about their interest.
Today, I asked, "How can I be a good mother this week?"
KC: By saying yes to us. 😁
LZ: You are playing with me. (What he means is that I am a good mother for playing with him. ☺️)
Then, KC asked me, "Mommy, why do people kiss on the lips?"
Me: Because they are showing their love to the other person. You can kiss someone you love, but..."
KC: Save it for the wedding day.
Me: Yes. 😍
Our conversation is one of the many ways my children learn. We supplement it with books or Google to add more information about their interest.
How do you connect with your child?

"Don't give up Ate. Do it again."
Overheard conversation:
Lucas: (He noticed KC crumpling her drawing). It's okay if you fail.
KC: Huh?
Me: Yes, it is okay to fail because you will learn from your mistakes. You can also ask yourself, "What can I do to make it better?"
Lucas: Don't give up Ate. Do it again.
Me: 🥹

Learning together is an easy way to home-educate multiple kids. It saves time and energy while also promoting teamwork and collaboration.

We were currently reading Paddle to the Sea Chapter 10 Life in the Northern Marsh.
From that story, we discussed
🟤 What is a Marsh?
🟤 What are the different types of marsh?
🟤 Marsh in the Philippines
Then, my kids want to learn more about the
🟤 Ocean
🟤 Sea animals
🟤Bermuda Triangle
I love how passionate they are to learn outside the topic. Learning is limitless.
There are so many opportunities to learn.
As I home-educate my children, I am also learning. We are learning together, and I love that. ☺️
What are you learning together as a family?

🟤 Lastly, she planned her digital printable business. 😁
As parents and educators, many learning opportunities can be found mostly everywhere. All we need to do is to observe and listen to our children. I also witnessed how conversation/discussion has a great impact on our children's learning.
We are just starting Term 1 and 2 more terms before we finish Year 1. I am so grateful that we chose this home education route because of its flexibility.
How are you doing in your home education? 🤔
