Hello everyone! We are reaching out on behalf of our dear block mate, Denise Raquion, whose family is going through a very difficult time. Their father, Ernesto Raquion, 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗼 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 (𝗖𝗔𝗕𝗚), and they need our support.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
1. Blood Donation
They are looking for Type A+ blood donors for the procedure.

• Don't know your blood type?
If you are willing to donate, the family can arrange a blood test for you at the site.

2. Financial Assistance
The surgery is estimated to cost 1.7 Million Pesos. Any amount you can spare will go a long way in helping their family.

𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚—𝙨𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙨 𝙤𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡?🤔

In celebration of Women’s Month, AB Sociology took a stand by extending care beyond conversations and into action through a free pad distribution for students, faculty, and staff. Because menstrual health is not a privilege, it is a basic need. Pads should be free, accessible, and stigma-free, just like any other form of healthcare.

In a space where learning and growth are prioritized, no one should have to worry about something as fundamental as managing their period. This initiative is more than just distribution, it is a statement. A call to recognize that women’s healthcare deserves visibility, support, and urgency. 💜

A Wall for Every Voice ✨

Together with The Associates, AB Sociology 3 created a free wall where students shared affirmations, reflections, and messages of empowerment. From words on feminism to encouragements like Padayon, the 2nd floor of Lawaan became alive with voices—each note, each word, each drawing carrying a story, a hope, a reminder that every voice matters.

In a space where whispers became statements and thoughts became declarations, the wall stood as a testament: “When we share our stories, we give strength to those who have yet to find their own voice.” Students from all colleges joined in, leaving traces of inspiration that turned the ordinary hallway into a mosaic of courage, resilience, and affirmation. Every message reminded us that even the smallest words can ripple far beyond the page—and that together, women rise, speak, and shine. 💜✨

Preparation for Women’s Month 💜

AB Sociology 3 painted the Sociology department purple—designing vibrant banderitas, preparing free pads, and setting the stage for a month that celebrated women’s strength, care, and empowerment. Every small gesture became part of a bigger story: honoring women, their journeys, and the courage they carry.

We're all pleased to announce that the donations we've gathered have now finally found their ways to the families in need. With every relief pack given, come the brightest smiles of the people that made all of our work worth it! 🙌

We would like to extend our immense gratitude once again to everyone who have given us their unwavering support and generosity.

Bagyong Opong has left many Masbateños in urgent need of help. Families have lost their homes, their belongings, and their sense of security. Now more than ever, they need us.

We are calling on your compassion and generosity through our donation drive. We are accepting relief goods—food, clean water, sleeping mats, blankets, hygiene kits, clothing, school supplies, toys, books, and other essentials.
