This issue continues to worsen, affecting countless Filipinos. Fisherfolk risk their lives not for profit but for food to survive. Chinese vessels occupy the West Philippine Sea, harass, and even harm Filipino citizens near the area, forcing them to settle for less and limiting their access to resources just to remain safe.

We must open our eyes to the truth, stand together, and fight for peace. These attacks are escalatingโassertions and threats that grow into greater conflict. But we must not only dwell on the harm already caused; we must act. We must fight for our rights and sovereignty as Filipinos.
