The yearly and most-highly anticipated event of the Bicol University is now finally on progress. The Bicol University Students from 16 campuses alongside with the esteemed faculty member and professors from Institute of Physical Education Sports and Recreation (IPESR) unites as one for the timeless routine and energetic moves that the nation has been waiting for, as it showcases the university spirit of collaboration and enthusiasm.

Let's meet on 𝙊𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧 20,2025 in the 𝘽𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙡 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘼𝙡𝙗𝙖𝙮 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙭 where the ultimate performance, explosive youth enegry and unison of the university will fill the complex with excitement to experience. Kita kits, everyone!

Masbate has been severely hit by . Many homes are damaged, and there is no electricity in several areas. People need urgent help.

BU Lawôd is facilitating a donation drive for the procurement of relief goods for those affected by the typhoon. We encourage monetary donations in order for our representatives on the ground to purchase and deliver aid as soon as possible.

During this time, we ask for your prayers and solidarity in helping Masbate recover from the typhoon. No donation is too small and any amount is appreciated.

As part of the BU IPESR Extension Program, the BSESS Interns, together with the IPESR Zumba Instructors will take lead on the "Free Zumba Session" at the Bicol University Sports Complex every Saturday, 5:00 PM.

PRESS RELEASE | 𝗕𝗨 𝗢𝗟𝗬𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗔𝗔; 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗨 𝗙𝗨𝗡 𝗥𝗨𝗡, 𝗭𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁

Legazpi City, Philippines – Bicol University (BU) will once again hold the highly anticipated annual BU OLYMPICS with the theme “Harmony in Diversity: Celebrating Our Shared Humanity,” on October 22-26, 2024.

Spearheaded by the BU University Sports Development Program Office and BU Institute of Physical Education, Sports, and Recreation, this year’s weeklong festivities will kick off with the crowning of the MR. and MS. BICOL UNIVERSITY, where they will represent BU in the regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) 2024 pageant.

The celebration will feature an opening parade on October 22, starting from BU Daraga to the BU-PGA Sports Complex, participated by all delegates and personnel across the university. In the same venue, a 13-minute mass dance exercise of the much awaited BU HATAW is expected to gather 15,000 participant-dancers.

From October 23-25, 21 academic units will compete in a variety of sports events, including basketball, volleyball, athletics, swimming, chess, combative sports and more. These events will showcase the BUeño’s talent, teamwork, experience, and determination as they compete for university pride and prepare for the upcoming RSCUAA.

To elevate the excitement, BU will launch the 1st BeyoU Olympics Fun Run with 3km, 5km, and 10km categories on October 26, and a grand Zumba fever concert with international Zumba Instructors Prince Paltu-ob and Madel Paltu-ob, as part of the Zumba para sa Komunidad Year 3 sponsored by Cong. Joey S. Salceda.
