The call for submissions for the 13th issue is now open to all writers and artists with ties to the Bangsamoro.
We accept works in Filipino, English, hybrid languages, and any of the languages spoken across BARMM territoriesβCotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Tawi-Tawi, as well as Sulu. For works written in regional languages, please include a Filipino or English translation.
Bangsamoro Literary Review pays a token fee for accepted works, including short stories, poems, essays, reviews, drawings, illustrations, and hybrid narratives.
There is no specific theme for this issue. Contributors are free to explore any subject.
Submissions may consist of:
Poems (maximum of 5), or
Essays, reviews and short stories (minimum of 1,000 words)
Please follow these formatting guidelines:
Submit your work as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx), double-spaced except for poetry submission, 12-point font (Times New Roman, Arial or Calibri). PDF files will not be read.
Submissions that do not follow this format will not be read.
All submissions will be screened to ensure they are original and not plagiarized or AI-generated.
