Today, August 21, we honor Senator Benigno "Ninoy" S. Aquino Jr.โ€”a man who sacrifice his life for freedom and democracy for the people of the Philippines. The assassination of "Ninoy" awakened the Filipino people's to fight for justice and freedom against the Marcos Dictatorship.

May his legacy remind us that courage means standing for what is right and putting the country above oneself.

The purpose was to personally assess on-ground conditions, review existing security measures, and ensure that all concerned offices and personnel are truly prepared to provide immediate and coordinated response to emergencies including security concerns

HEAT ALERT: Heat Index in Dapitan May Reach 42ยฐC โ€” Dapitanons Urged to Take Precautions

The DOST-PAGASA projects that the heat index may reach as high as 42ยฐC, a level where prolonged exposure to heat may cause heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and possible heat stroke.

With the intense heat, everyone is advised to take extra precautions, especially children, senior citizens, outdoor workers, and persons with health conditions.

๐Ÿ’ง Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even before you feel thirsty.

๐ŸŒค๏ธ Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during the hottest hours of the day. If possible, limit strenuous outdoor activities and stay in shaded or well-ventilated areas.

๐Ÿ‘• Wear light and breathable clothing and use umbrellas, hats, or other protection when going outdoors.

๐Ÿš— Never leave children, senior citizens, or pets inside parked vehicles, even for a short period.

๐Ÿฅค Avoid excessive alcohol, caffeine, and very sugary drinks, which may contribute to dehydration.

โš ๏ธ Know the warning signs of heat-related illness. Watch for dizziness, headache, excessive sweating, weakness, nausea, rapid heartbeat, confusion, or fainting. Move the affected person to a cool area immediately and seek medical assistance when necessary.

A Fire Safety Symposium & Fire Drill is being conducted on August,7, 2026 in RMIDCI, under the Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP). The students in RMIDCI actively participate by performing the safety procedure.

This activities served as reminder of importance being prepared and knowledgeable in this kind of disaster. Through their discussion and demonstration students gained a essential skills that can help to protect themselves in this kind of disaster.
